“ITS SHOWTIME!”
Square Enix Japan have started showing this new trailer on the BS11 Channel. Besides the neat Sazh reveal, it shows a new dragon enemy, and some motion capture and modelling stuff.
Theres.. really not too much else, i’m afraid.

With Final Fantasy Type-0′s release just days away, Square are quickly trying to push their latest epic through online and TV appearances. This time, Tabata appears on a TV show with one of the most over the top presenter you will ever see. Three of them (all of them presenting in Class Zero uniforms by the way) take place in a multiplayer mission playing as King, Rem, and Cater. See it all in the 9 minute video below.
You’ve probably forgotten that a half-hour television special for Final Fantasy XIII-2 aired on the 15th in Japan. How could you not, with all that juicy TGS action going on? Turns out you didn’t miss much. Most of the information shared by Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama has already been revealed and the latter half of the programme featured Masashi Ebara (Sazh’s Japanese voice actor) paying a visit to select departments working on the game.
Among the few notable segments, composer Mitsuto Suzuki demonstrated the music production process with a track that hasn’t been heard before. You can check that out below. After having a chat with co-composer Naoshi Mizuta about the new Archylte Steppe theme and checking in with the game’s foley artists (that’s sound effects, for you clueless types out there), there was a brief montage of various visual processes. You can find shots of those a bit further down, too. Images include a demonstration of the animation process using a frightening dragon-type creature, manipulation of Sazh’s eyebrows, a city locale and Serah running through a city (maybe the same one) on a rainy night.
With Final Fantasy Type-0 coming out in just under two months, Square Enix has already started the advertising onslaught with three new commercials which have begun airing on Japanese TV. The characters in the adverts have been dubbed over with alternative voices, apparently saying something hilarious. I feel the humor will be lost on most of us. See all three in the video below.
The Tokyo Game Show is slowly creeping up, but today it was announced that a Final Fantasy XIII-2 Special would be airing on TV during the first day of the event. The half an hour special, announced on the BS11 website, is said to contain a never before seen trailer as well as special guest appearances. It will be airing on BS11 at 8:00 to 8:30pm Tokyo time on the 15th September.
