A new trailer for Sazh’s Episode DLC has been released. It’s in Japanese, and an English one is expected to be released soon. Watch the trailer below!
Further information has been released concerning the Sazh DLC due out on the 28th of February, and pictures of Serah and Noel’s new downloadable costumes- due out on the 21st- have surfaced! The costumes are priced at 300 yen/240 MSP, and the Sazh DLC is priced at 600 yen/400 MSP. Not too shabby if that carries over to the Western releases of that stuff!
The story of the Sazh DLC involves Sazh’s adventures in Serendipity. It adds two new table games to the experience, both of which Sazh tries out during the course of his episode. One of the games is called Chrono Bind, and it is apparently played on a table that resembles the face of a clock. The second game hasn’t been detailed yet, but Famitsu promises that it will be doing so in its next issue. What exactly Sazh is involved in in Serendipity and how/if it ties in to the main plot remains unclear, but we don’t have long to wait to find out.
The Serah bikini outfit was already detailed, but apparently Noel’s new outfit is armor that is granted by Etro to warriors who defend time. It certainly looks mystical enough- though I’m sure a great deal of you are disappointed that Noel didn’t come with a bathing suit of his own. So what do you all think? Love it or hate it, excited or disappointed, as always you’re welcome to discuss the subject in the forums.

EDIT: Thanks to our intrepid staff member Chat Noir we have a few new screenshots of Sazh’s scenario to show off, including a couple scenes from the story itself as well as shots of the new card game to be added to Serendipity.
First, rumored Jihl DLC (which is now looking like it could be false) and now we have news of the much talked about Sazh Episode.
Apparently the episode will be titled “Heads or Tails”. We’re not sure what this episode will entail, but it will probably detail Sazh’s back story for FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. Different sources are reporting different things but it’s looking like additions to the the casino will either be included with the episode or offered separately, perhaps both. Given this, and the name of the episode, Sazh’s story may very well involve Serendipity, makes sense. The Episode is said to cost 600 Yen, most likely $5.99 or 400 MS Points.
A swimsuit costume for Serah was announced a while back and it looks like it will be released soon as well. It’s not known yet if Noel will be getting one as well. A secret DLC is also said to be in the works. More info on the episode and costumes will most certainly surface once we get closer to the reported release date of February 28th, until then, keep checking back here.
Thanks to Forum Member Lymle for pointing this out.

Dengeki’s latest issue is coming out tomorrow, but thankfully, a little bit of info on Final Fantasy XIII-2 has leaked out already. Here’s what Toriyama has to say in his latest update.
The game’s casino city is known as “Xanadu”. Yes, Xanadu. As seen in the trailers, this is where Chocobo racing takes place but you can also use slot machines shaped like aero bikes.
Time Labyrinths are effectively FFXIII-2′s equivalent of the Cloister of Trials. Most of them aren’t optional but Toriyama says that they won’t be too difficult. More complicated Labyrinths however are available as side quests. Most of you have seen the Labyrinth in action but what we haven’t seen is that there are additional puzzles within them involving numbers and clock hands. Toriyama also tells them that Time Labyrinths were added due to the complaints about FFXIII having few dungeons.
Lastly, although he doesn’t want to say much more, Sazh is still around in XIII-2 and he’s currently undertaking activities which are supposed to better Gran Pulse.
