The Final Fantasy Type-0 demo which was revealed by a leaked Famitsu issue earlier this week, may be coming sooner than we though. Square Enix has confirmed that the Natsubi demo from their Odaiba Expo will actually be released on August 11th, less than a week from now. The demo will be released both on the Playstation Store as well as the games official site.
The press release comes with a two new images – the first an artwork of Ace and Rem sporting what looks like summer uniforms and the second, artwork of Rem and Machina during the siege of Rubrum.

A leak from Famitsu suggests that a Final Fantasy Type-0 demo may be coming out this September. The demo itself will be identical to the Natsubi demo on offer at Square Enix’s Odaiba Expo, save for a few tweaks. It should include the four missions we’ve seen available in video walkthroughs before.
Most importantly, the demo will be available as a free download rather than being bundled with a collectors edition like Final Fantasy XIII. With the PSP being region free, there’s nothing stopping those of you with Japanese PSN accounts from getting the demo at launch so everyone else, prepare!

The Final Fantasy Type-0 demo at the Square Enix Odaiba Expo has been filmed and posted online by Famitsu. The footage is over 7 minutes long, featuring a large chunk of the Natsubi demo on the show floor.
The demo allows you to start multiple missions from a single room to allow for an adequate range of gameplay during the short amount of time the visitors to the event are given to try it out. Hajime Tabata is also giving commentary during the video but unsurprisingly, it’s all in Japanese. To see the new gameplay, visit Famitsu through the link below.

Square Enix will be holding their 2011 “Square Enix Odaiba Expo” from July 16th until August 31st (in Odaiba, Tokyo naturally). This event will be the first which allows Japanese gamers to finally play Type-0. People visiting the event will be able to buy a mini Final Fantasy Type-0 soundtrack consisting of 5 tracks from the game. The soundtrack will be available for ¥500 and if that isn’t enough, you’ll be able to buy three Type-0 themed clear files for ¥380 each if you feel the need. See the soundtracks cover below.
