Paddra Nsu-Yeul, the mysterious girl seen in trailers tagging along with Caius, will be featured in this week’s Jump. Have a look at the page below (we’ll be updating this post once a higher quality scan of the page surfaces) which possibly contains new details regarding her and other stuff. Stay tuned and head over to the forums for discussion and updates!
Update: A clearer version has surfaced, but not a HQ one. We’ll be updating this again once a HQ version comes out!
Jump has released an article containing new screenshots of Final Fantasy XIII-2′s newly modified Crystarium. It has been previously revealed that XIII-2′s Crystarium will be completely open from the beginning of the game, unlike in XIII where it was restricted at certain points. The crystarium takes the shapes of Noel and Serah’s weapons, and not only you are able to level up your characters by spending CP, but you will also get special bonuses by completing certain conditions asked in specific roles.
Thanks to forum member Musou for finding this information.

Since Snow’s reveal in the TGS trailers, not much has been announced about his return. That’s no different today but at least we have some shiny new artwork of him. The artwork shows him off wearing his new outfit and hairstyle while unfortunately pulling the Dreamworks Face. Jump doesn’t reveal much more so it looks like it’s up to Famitsu and Dengeki to help us out in the coming days.
Jump’s latest issue has a page feature on Final Fantasy Type-0, this time revealing the inclusion of Diablos as a summon and two new l’cie. Nimbus (right), dubbed a “cyborg” l’cie from the Byakko Crystal is silent and enigmatic who has fought many rival l’Cie in the past. Setsuna (left) is from the Suzaku Crystal and is apparently the most senior l’cie. She’s a skilled summon magic user who can summon 1000 beasts at once.
Thanks to Casker from GameFAQs for the translations and Iron Maw for the scan.
Some new Final Fantasy XIII-2 information has been released in the latest issue of Jump today, including a couple of fairly small but important story points. Here they are thanks to Kagari on Neogaf:
Noel is from the future where he’s the last surviving human of his time.
Lightning is a knight for the goddess Etro who’s tasked with protecting her temple in Valhalla.

There is now a scan for the above information, showing a new render for Lightning.

The latest issue of V-Jump has been released with a small preview of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Unfortunately, most of the information has already been revealed so there isn’t anything new except for the picture of Serah. See it below.

V-Jump has released a Final Fantasy Type-0 feature on newly named character Cater, Deuce, and Trey. With it comes summaries on the three class zero members, detailing their personality and weapons. See the scan itself below.
Cater
Known for her strong confidence and emotions. She hates to lose and can be relied on in any situation but wears her heart on her sleeve. Her weapon is a shotgun with magic infused shells. She can’t move while firing but her ammo can be fired continuously without ever running out.
Trey
A mature class member, who’s calm and takes care of his appearance. His wisdom allows him to understand peoples train of thought but he’s known for speaking at great length. Trey’s weapon is a bow which gives him the furthest range of all the students but he can only hit still targets.
Deuce
A serious girl who works arduously, performing her duties for class zero without hesitation. Quick to speak her mind. She uses a flute as her weapon which sends “bundles of sound” towards her target. She can use musical scales to set traps.

Although previously shown in the latest Type-0 trailer, Shiva appears in a full page spread in the latest issue of Jump featuring new screenshots and artwork of her. The article also reveals the newly announced Phantoma System.
Phantoma is gathered from defeated enemies and used to power up your character’s magic. Phantoma comes in various colours which represent different parts of magic development. Gathering the particular colour Phantoma for the particular kind of magic development will boost it.
