I’m sure most of us were expecting the usual plain white European box art like usual. It seems Square Enix has decided jazz it up a bit with a render of Lightning this time though. Although it’s still TBC, it looks like they’re expecting a PEGI rating of 16. Have a look at them below.
Final Fantasy XIII’s director, Motomu Toriyama, has been interviewed by a Japanese magazine to answer a few last minute questions before release. In the interview, Toriyama discloses how long the main scenario of Final Fantasy XIII should be. He states that for experienced Final Fantasy fans it should take 50 hours to complete the main storyline and about 60 hours for beginners. That’s a good sign for those of us who have been waiting over 3 years to play it. Let’s just hope the story lives up to our expectations.

The second commercial for Final Fantasy XIII has began running on Japanese TV and you can watch it below. It may not make sense for those of us who don’t speak Japanese but thankfully someone has translated it.

Student： “Why will you take a break?”
Teacher: (I’ve waited for this time for three years)
I know how he feels.
