A full, high quality version of the artwork that we have seen on the cover of Final Fantasy XIII-2′s Scenario Ultimania came out today. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more artworks to be released in the following days to feed our excitement as the game will be released for the rest of the world next week.
Square Enix has released new artworks today, this time depicted in the style of manga. They were drawn by Test player 10 for her report in the official test play site. Check them out below!
Today, three new pieces of art were revealed for XIII-2. They include depictions of Cait Sith, what appears to be a flying fortress, and perhaps most interestingly what seems to be a redesign for Odin. What exactly this new hooded look means is up for grabs, especially since we’ve already seen Odin in his previous form fighting alongside Lightning in XIII-2. As always, for discussion and speculation, head over to the forums and go crazy.
Square Enix has released new screenshots and a high quality render of Hope today. Some of the screenshots were featured in the recent Dengeki article. They are contained with more detailed views on Academia, the giant casino Xanadu, the temporal rift in its different modes, and a few battle screenshots. Fortunately, they are all in English. Check them out below!

The Square Enix East meets West debate taking place at the New York Comic Con today has been recorded by Gematsu in it’s entirety. The debate is between FFXIII-2 art director Isamu Kamikokuryo and Deus Ex: Human Revolution art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletête. It’s certainly a lengthy and fairly in depth event which may not be for everyone, however, for those of you interested in art direction, it’s worth a watch.
At the end of the debate, both art directors reveal their own take on each others artwork. Isamu shows his version of Adam Jensen from Deus Ex while Jonathan draws Lightning in his own style. Well, part of her at least.

Famitsu has released 23 new Final Fantasy XIII-2 screenshots on their website today, plus the new Snow artwork which was seen in Jump last week. Information wise, they don’t add much that we haven’t already read in recent articles. Catching all 150 monsters does sound like quite a challenge though. Wait…haven’t we done that before?

New York’s iteration of Comic Con is right around the corner and Square Enix is bringing Final Fantasy XIII-2 with them. As well as the demo being playable at the venue, Square is organising a panel where they’ll be presenting artwork of Final Fantasy XIII-2.
The panel entitled “East Meets West: Art Direction for a Worldwide Audience” is taking place on October 14th and will involved FFXIII-2 art director Isamu Kamikokuryo showing final and concept artwork for the game as well as Deus Ex: Human Revolution art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletête showing off some from his game. The panel promises to be an indepth discussion, moderated by videogame consultant and critic, N’Gai Croal.
Square has also told us via Twitter to keep our calendars open on the 14th for new FFXIII-2 news. Only a week to go.

Since Snow’s reveal in the TGS trailers, not much has been announced about his return. That’s no different today but at least we have some shiny new artwork of him. The artwork shows him off wearing his new outfit and hairstyle while unfortunately pulling the Dreamworks Face. Jump doesn’t reveal much more so it looks like it’s up to Famitsu and Dengeki to help us out in the coming days.
Remember all that Type-0 stuff released in Famitsu a week and a half ago? Well GAME Watch have done a similar feature but with much more detailed descriptions and tons of screenshots to go with them. There’s even some new stuff Famitsu didn’t feature as well as this piece of artwork. See the parts Famitsu missed out below.
Cranberry Knights
Suzaku Peristylium has thirteen Moogles dubbed the Cranberry Knights that are there to support the students and give them missions. There’s one Moogle for each class including Class Zero.
Subcharacters and l’Cie
Plenty of new screenshots of the newly announced subcharacters and l’Cie have been released plus some official artwork. There isn’t really any new details about the characters themselves but enjoy the pretty pictures of Aria, Carla, Naghi, Caetuna, Ninbus and Enkidu as well as the star of the games logo, Diva.
