Those people up there don't represent the American people, before anyone gets any silly ideas. Those people are a cross-section of the very worst that the Republican party has to offer (and I'll admit, that party has some damn scary offerings). Dire took the words out of my mouth. "More Czars than the USSR"? Do they not realise the Russia became the USSR AFTER they killed all the Tsars? I mean, they seriously think he's a marxist? Do they know what a marxist even is!? Also it's fucking offensive to the people who actually had to live through Nazi rule to include swastikas to depict Obama's policies. I literally can't see a single way Nazism and Obama cross paths. Last time I looked this bill is going through democratic channels.
Oh and that third truck which succeeds in mixing, Christianity and 9/11 to imply it may happen again if Obama gives people healthcare? HE'S AN EVIL EVIL MAN!

I also love how they ignore that Nazism was associated with fascism, i.e. far right-wing politics. They blame him for stuff like 9/11, they call him a Nazi and a Muslim and then say that his Christian pastor was anti-American for saying we brought 9/11 on ourselves, then say our sins caused 9/11.
I really do love my country, very much. But people like these make me sick and scared at the same time.

The only thing the right does that could be associated with fascism is the extreme religious side. A large part of the republican party is the libertarian side which wants nothing more than to maximize freedoms. It's stupid that the the idiots pictured above are the ones who make the news, but it's largely true that the media is not sympathetic to republicans, so they want to turn the image of the party into the most extreme.

Yes, the dems are for gay rights and such, but they want to control people lives in other ways. They take control of businesses telling them how to run them. They want to control how much energy people use. They want to regulate and centralize as much as possible. All of this is done for some "greater good", and I'm sure the fascists felt the same way. People can't be trusted to make the right decisions about their lives so we, the benevolent government, will make the decisions for them.
And yes, Fox news is right of center, but MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, AP, ect. are all left of center. If you don't agree that's probably because you're left of center and everyone reads their worldview as having no bias.
You're also right that fascism has become something associated almost exclusively with the right, and I think this is a grave misconception for the reasons mentioned above. Again, I am not defending the crazies in the pictures, but I wouldn't call them fascists. I myself am a non-religious libertarian, but even most evangelicals, I believe, want to stay out of others lives and even more so want the government to stay out of their own.
