If a game is rated 'M'

If a game is rated M, what sort of contents is it most likely to have?
B/c in ireland, the games are rated like 3+ 7+ 12+ 15+ 16+ 18+
There's no such thing as 'T' or 'M'
So for example, if a game was to have a lot of violence, and violence only, would have a rating of 'M'??
And in countries where games are rated 'M', would 'M' be equivalent to 18+?

Straight from the site and it would likely have the above. I've never bought a rated 'M' game because I always get hand me downs. I think you only need to be 17 years old to buy a rated 'M' game in the U.S.

To figure out what it would be, you'd have to look at games already available that received an ESRB M rating and what their Irish equivalent rating was. That should provide at least a guide, if not something definite. For example, most ESRB M games become OFLC MA15+ in Australia.

... You know, if they don't get banned outright.
