Okay, I have a few hotspots... wondering if anybody else knows any more..
I'm on average level 40 and I am currently doing all the sidequests before Giruvegan to beef up my characters.... so a tip ..........
in the ogir-yensa sandsea, there are creatures called Alraunes, if you equip theifs cuffs to one character, steal from them and then kill them, you can chain to infinity and get things called succulent fruits, coupled with the theifs cuffs you can get maces... sell the maces for 900 each and the succulent fruits for about 340 each. When you chain they drop more stuff like this aswell.... so you can get a hell of alot of Gil, also if you equip the remaining 5 party members in reserve with the golden amulets you can get double LP for those characters just for sitting in reserve.
Anybody know anywhere else?

For double EXP, I always equip Embroidered Tippets for my active party, and Golden Amulets for those in reserve (double LP), unless I'm fighting a boss or a mark or something.
Aaaand a long time ago, when I was still in the Stilshrine of Miriam, I found it really fun to go to the southernmost room with all the undeads and make a really long chain for good items and stuff.
Steal as much as you can with Thief's Cuffs too.
Lol, I'm past Giruvegan -- that part was really annoying, with all the crazy strong entites D: I'm at the Pharos Lighthouse/Ridorana Cataract right now, but I'm finishing up all my sidequests first. Level 59/60 or so right now, don't really remember xD
Has anyone gotten the esper Chaos yet? I've only gotten a couple optional espers, heh.
At the moment I have Adrammalech, Mateus, Belias and Zalera... I am trying to get Exodus from the Mosphoran Highwaste but he keeps killing me. Its probably just my level... average level 45 ish now... been ps2 bashing lol.
When I reach around level 50 / 55 i'm gunna do Giruvegan... for now though i'm buiding up the gil! lol
Josh

Zodiark is as tough as nails, be sure to be prepared with maxed out potions, ethers, phoenix downs, and be sure to be AT LEAST level 70, or if you are brave or stupid, 60. After you beat him though, he is the best esper in the whole game and one of my favorite espers, along with Adrammelech.
Also, if you are still in near the beggining of the game, one of the best EXP and GIL hotspots is in the Lhusu Mines on one of the bridges near the end.
A TON of skeletons spawn and can drop bone fragments along with iron helms. If the skeletons stop spawning, all you have to do is run back to the beggining of the dungeon and then go back.
Woohoo! After 2 hours of careful and strategic battling I finally reached the save crystal at Giruvegan! NIGHT EVERYONE.... its now time to sleep....
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. .................................................. ............. . . . .

Coeruls (sp?) in the Tchita Uplands are capable of having an Embroid Tippet when you steal, which I always found useful. Just steal three and your set for double exp.
Inside the Great Crystal in Giruveagen, you can make an endless chain of Necrophobes. But I reccomend an extremely high lvl. (60-70) Before attempting this, and make sure you equip the Bubble Belt to your three party members.
And if someone finds Ultima, let me know. I can't find it!!!

But now I fight for those I love.
And nothing will stand in my way.
my best hot spot in the beginning of the game was in the lhusu mines, tasche span or something like that, skeletons just keep spawning so i build alot of gil and exp....
right now i'm at the henne mines special charter shaft gaining 6000 exp per abysteel(with embroideret tippets)and i'm about lvl 70,it's hard but cool, great challenge
also a bit in the beginning of the game i had a lot of fun at the The Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. chaining them was a lot of fun with some cool rewards, only thing was you had to walk miles to bring youre stuff back.
I'm on my second playthrough right now and have a few recommendations;
(This advice is based on my lvl 48-avg party -- Err, Basch is lvl 60 -- and the points in the game I've just past. I've just gotten to Giruvegan story-wise.)
The upper Feywood is great levelling for a party in the mid-to-late 30's, and you can get FREE Embroidered Tippets from Coeurls by having one party member equipped with a set of Thief's Cuffs and chaining fifteen or so. I got eight Embroidered Tippets in ten minutes this way.
If you want to earn a tonne of LP very quickly, equip Golden Amulets to everyone, set battle speed to active and its fastest setting, haste everyone and either go to the Estersand or the far west Nam-Yensa Sandsea, killing everything that moves.
I'm currently looking for a good way to get tonnes of quick Gil, I need 1,190,000 Gil so I can get Tournesol and Masamune. o_o

The Necherol of Nabudis, Nabreaus Deadlands and the Subterra in the Pharos of Ridorana are great for a party in that level region. *Shrug*
