By whats been said though most likely 2008 for Japan, and late 2008 or possibly 2009 for Europe and America.
I'm not even sure Square knows Nomura said he'd get started as soon as he's finished all his current projects like CC and Monotone which should all be out this year. That means its gonna be a long while after that.
Didn´t square say in some of the interviews here that XIII was going to be released in the beginning of 2008? And that´s not a long way is it? Comparing to twelve that is. I have no problem waiting for like 1 year and 6 months (i live in europe.), honestly. Since this FF looks so good and detailed, then i defentily don´t mind it coming out in the beginning of 08. And i heard Versus was going to be released soon after XIII. Hold out my men/women!
Well Nomura did say in an interview that: "We will bring FFXIII out as soon as possible." But specualtions think that it wont come out this year. Wich is a good thing since I dont have money for a PS3 yet.
Ooh, i think Versus will come out 2 years after FFXIII. Waaay in to the future. All your hopes that it will come earlier is useless.

I don't care about the release date at the moment. All I care is his name, more trailers and the heroine.
I remember how terrible I was when I couldn't find any trailer of FFversusXIII but low quality screenshots when it first announced. Then I forgot about it after a while.
Just recently that I remembered about it and search for trailer again. You know what... I was extremely amazed.
But I wanna see the 2nd trailer ><
Arg!!! Release more trailers please ><. I wish I know the director or the script writer of the game so I can ask for spoilers T__T
