Okay then. Here's a thing I never thought about (not sure why not). Is the reason Cloud falls in love with Aeris because of his memories from Zack or is that the reason why Aeris falls in love with him (because she reminds her of Zack)?
I never thought about that either, to be honest. Cloud might have loved Aerith because of Zack's past memories. Good theory. The only people who truly know are Yoshinori Kitase and Tetsuya Nomura. Someone should contact them.

What about the children so they don't exist? so cloud was like "Ok I'm going to go to fight just to make you happy!" No, he was there seeing the floor not even bother to look at her. AND when she told him "What is it? a memory or us?" Did Cloud answer? No he didn't he started thinking about Aerith and he said "But I let you die" and then heard Aeris voice. And I know about Zack, he DID exist but that doesn't mean because Aeris loved Zack once she couldn't love Cloud.

Just to say. i didn't even know people argued over crap like this until kira made this damn thread. I mean really? This isn't a daily Soap Opera, it is a ten year old game where the developers decided to fuck with their own storyline just so they could add more products. This doesn't have gaps and holes in it like XI, it was done.

He's smiling for himself. Like I said before, A romantic scene doesnt include a boyfriend in the background. The inner-demoness is defeated. The girl is dead and with Zack. Life goes on. The end.

Couldn't that be a mis-translation just like you said "I think I can meet her....there?" was? . In any case the movie ends with acceptance that Aeris isn't coming back and to move on. Him and Tifa becoming more than friendly afterwards is more than possible.
Now over to The Case of Tifa which I've been checking out.

Granted I haven't been reading it to closely but is he saying he wants to begin a new life with Tifa? I mean he is talking about Tifa isn't he? I keep thinking he's going off into his thoughts like in Advent Children but then again she can't reply to a thought though .
