A lot of people that like a ceertain game series like the first one they played, which is why a majority like Ocarina of Time the most. I think the games are just .... funa and magical. FF does the same thing but I never get tired of it.
Not really to the Mario/Zelda extent. I watched some videos and shizzle for Twilight Princess and I pretty much remembered every place I saw from the N64 one...
Well Zelda "is" in the same world, but that doesnt mean that its the same. Majoras Mask was in Termina, not Hyrule. But one reason I like Zelda is cause its old-school style and NOTHING beats old-school.
Twilight Princess was a nice refresher since OoT for me.
Absolutely loved it, and it really made use of the Wii remote and Nunchuk, so it was the only Wii launch title I have right now. And having a guide that's actually part of the storyline helps a lot.
No more Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen!

That is bull, you now instead of Navi(or that other fairy) have to put up with Midna's giggles.
I also don't agree with you on the use of the wiimote. Zelda failed to use the wiimote in my eyes. It is only used for slashing(doesn't perform your action though) and shooting ranged weapons. That is all. You don't use it to open doors, you don't use to use special moves(other then spin and shield bash), and you don't use to complete objectives. This can be blamed on it being a Gamecube port but saying it makes use of the wiimote is nothing far from blasphemy.
The Gamecube version is a much better choice. It should have camera controls to.

Wow, good day to you too.
So I presume you'd like the giggles over the repetitive Hey! Listen! Well, I suppose if you enjoy auditory redundancy over a character like Midna--who actually has something plot-related to say throughout the game--then by all means, indulge.
Let's pause for a moment. "saying it makes use of the wiimote is nothing far from blasphemy". Hmm *refers to an earlier stated point*

Oh, I guess it does use the wii-mote. Who would've guessed? As well, the wiimote cursor pretty much controls Link's point of view from looking up, down, and can effectively cover 180 degrees of whatever vantage point Link is viewing. This accuracy can't be replicated on the Gamecube.

Her giggles stay the same, just like Navi's "hey". So I don't understand how either of them are something I want to hear. If I want to talk to Midna, I'll call her and the same with Navi.

Yes, it does use the wiimote. But what you originally said, was "and it really made use of the Wii remote and Nunchuk". No, it doesn't. There are other games that use the wiimote much better. I mean come on, I don't like DBZ that much but that game uses the wiimote much better. The movement is hindered by your relation to the TV set. Too close and you get "point wiimote at the screen" to far and you get the same thing. Not having to worry about that is another bonus of the Gamecube version.
My favorite game is still Majora's Mask. It just had alot to offer to the player and much freedom. Being different versions of link added alot of value since you could swim faster or access different areas depending on the mask.
Also Fierce Deity Link is the sh!t!! (Needs to be in Brawl!)

I was never a big fan of Majora's Mask. It was so confusing and I hated keeping track of time. But I do love me some masks!
I like the Zelda series but I'm not as into it as some of my friends are. Honestly, to some of them it's practically a religion.
I liked Ocarina of Time, wasn't a big fan of the Wind Waker and haven't played much of Twilight Princess yet (mostly playing FFXII at the moment). I've got the Gamecube version as I don't own (or want to buy) a Wii. I've seen the Wii version but generally speaking I prefer the more straightforward joypad control of the GC version to the novelty factor control of the Wii game.
To be honest, I've actually always preferred the 2D Zelda games to the 3D ones. I think it's partly because you can see everything you need to at all times and don't have to worry about camera control. That, or they're just simpler to play, I guess. I absolutely loved Minish Cap on the GBA and am really looking forward to trying out Phantom Hourglass on the DS, but my all time favourite Zelda game is Link's Awakening on the old black and white Gameboy. That game was incredible for it's time and had great gameplay, a brilliantly mysterious storyline, interesting characters and really nice music too. I lost countless hours to that game and it remains one of my most loved videogame experiences.
I would have loved the hell out of Wind Waker if it didn't have Water. The sailing killed that game for me. In my opinion Wind Waker even has the best combat.
