Actually it had nothing to do with take two. It was sone by a couple of random gamers. Just further proof Jack should not be allowed to speak in public.

Unfortunatly the media sensationalises everything in every Western Country. Too many people believe what the media says. Remember Bird Flu? Everyone was scared shit-less, then it just disapeared. Jack Thompson just uses the media and the lack of parental knowledge towards videogames to his advantage. If he can feed more information to parents then anyone else can, then he becomes the truth.

The worst one I remember was all the fuss about the millenium bug - people thought it was going to be the end of the world, and that civilisation as we know it would collapse, just because some computers couldn't handle the year changing from 1999 to 2000. I remember hearing that some people built WW2 style shelters stocked full of food and supplies in case the sky fell on their house or something. But of course it was all over-hyped by the media and the actual problem was easily solved. It just shows that the general media haven't got a clue about anything, and of course they won't let the facts get in the way of a juicy story.

Reminds me of the old saying "those who shout the loudest often have the least to say" (or something like that). What Jack Thompson says is completely lacking in any substance and is mostly just ill-informed scaremongering. But if parents are believing him then it just goes to show how bad the games industry is at making itself understood by the general public. It needs to be making more of an effort to educate parents about age ratings and such, and doing it in a way that is clear and level-headed.
