I actually thought the X-2 system was okay but the X one was better. They tried to do something different by using the dress sphere system which of course isnt the most manly thing but its not exactly a manly game.
I really enjoyed X so i thought X-2 would have been a good game. I never completed it because it just seemed like a repeat of X at most parts. They did pretty well making a new game in exactly the same place but it cant have taken much effort using the same environments. I'd say its the worst FF i've played so far (still have to complete VIII and start IX) but it had pretty good FMVs and 1000 Words was a good song i thought...though real emotion was...hmm
I haven't played all of them so I can't really say. But I don't agree with all you guys saying that X-2 sucked. I loved the game and I loved the fact that the story got to continue. The only thing that I didn't like in X-2 was blitzball. Two words, it sucked. But other than that I loved it. The two theme songs were really great to. I listen to them all the time. I can't believe no one else likes this game.
I didnt like X-2 as such, but it finnaly cleared up that 'Will yuna ever meet Tidus again?' story. Im not a 'Tuna' or whatever Tidus X yuna is (No pun btw) but i thought it was cool how they were back together. Only i thought was strange was that the Perfect ending was no-where near as good as the good ending.
Still, i liked the graphics, Payne was cool, and Yunas gunslinger thingy was damn cool. My most hated is Final Fantasy 9. Shite characters (apart from vivi and that girl Albert fancies), mostly crappy music (apart from opening) and strangly long time until you can use summons. Only thing i did like was the 4 man team thing although that only made the enemies harder lol.

It wasnt very FFish to me. I dont know why it just didnt seem it. Also it was much too "girly" and corny for my liking.

I cousin would kill me if i ever show her FFX or X-2 again. I told her it was bad but she didn't listen.
The worst to me? I would say 8, I had problems with it's story, characters, and play system the most. It looked nice and had a nice world with some neat things but it just felt like it was trying to hard to be liked.
yeah I felt that FF8 tried too much too but that was after I played the other FF's. the controls were awkward and once I completed it, i found the story wasnt as compelling as say FF7
My vote has to go to FFX-2. SE screwed up with this game. They transformed a game loved by everybody into a sequel that appealed to only few. Because it appealed to only a few, only a few bought it and actually liked it.
I think a much safer route would've been to play as Lord Braska and Auron and Sir Jecht. I think that that would've made for a much better game.
I love Paine. I am glad they made the game so I could meet her and play with her. I won't argue with the fact that they were all half naked in the video game but that wasn't the biggest disapppintment to me. It was the plot.

Seriously, after an amazing game they make a sequel that just sucked.
The battle system was pretty cool I liked the Dress Spheres and the special ones.
There was no improvement in the graphics and Yuna's face looked different from FFX...
But yeah FFX-2 sucks, plot-wise.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals is not that good either but I like the battle system, the creation of characters and how you can play with your friends.

I fell stupid now cuz so many people on this site hate X-2. Am I the only one who actually enjoyed it?
It's a fun game. I've beat it twice and I'm on the first chapter a third time. I just thought that the plot could've been better. I mean FFX made me cry (sshh, it's a secret) and FFX-2 was like... Meh. They should've re-used characters instead of making a bunch of new ones. If Yuna went from dress to shorts Lulu could too! XD

That I will agree with you on. Most of the characters who returned in X-2 kept the same clothes. I think everyone should have gotten a wardrobe change.

Old Japanese men loved that one, i bet. 
It was even speculated before X-2 was out.
