New FFXIII Lightning Screenshot

A new screenshot of Lightning has been released in all it's HD goodness. The image has previously appeared in both Dengeki and Famitsu scans from after Jump Festa. The interview that the image came from is about Square-Enix's recent adoption of the Unreal 3 Engine for use in other games and it's mentioned that it will in turn "advance the development of FFXIII". Thanks to GHenrik for finding it.

I'm assuming that the shiny bit on the left is the gunblade/sword thing we've seen in the trailers, but I see no blade. Any explanation?

Man! Stop teasing us and release the game already! It's getting me more and more excited everytime there's an update on this game.
Everything looks so real. She seems a litlte bit different from the trailer somehow. May be it's the angle.

The blade folds up into the gun just like seen in the trailer. In the screenshot it's in it's gun mode so the blade is inside it. Look at the weapons page to see what I mean

They are still making the characters based on perfection. Which isn't all bad. But for more believability do you think each character should have some physical imperfections? A scar? Birthmark? A tattoo even... Something to make there features more realistic.

Reno has a scar below his left eye, or a general mark.

HAHA and Zidane has a tail.

I dont really care much for making them realistic, hence why it is final FANTASY. i think it makes them look better if they have something edgy and odd about them.

Come on i mean even seymour guado had blue hair and a major tatoo across his chest lol

People can get different color eyes. Might want to look it up.
