I never really got into Fullmetal Alchemist, when i 1st heard of the anime it was already showing on adult swim and it was somewhere in the middle., so its hard to watch it from the biggining, and since it was lincened in the us its not easy to get the eps online.
But i was forced to see the moive when it came out in theaters. SO...despite the fact i didnt no wat the hell was going on half of the time, it was a good moive
I thought it was a really good film with some nice moments, espicially the reunion of the Elrics and Mustang. But I didn't really want to the film to end the way it did, possibly open for more episodes, but with both brothers stuck in Nazi Germany, I don't see how thats possible.
I was happy that L'arc did more themes for it and that none of the voices had changed but the story was a tad slower than the serieswith the middle draggin a bit, but still a great film.
..Certainly better than any Naruto films (which are rubbish) or Ghlibi (just no).
I'm reading the manga. I didn't see the anime, but I understands that halfway into the story the anime and manga splits into different timelines since the anime wanted to avoid fillers from the slowgoing manga. It seems like they did a very good job since many people thing of the anime as the best series ever.
I did see the movie (DL it), but I felt it a bit wierd with the alternation into our world. Stop doing that...

I should really read the manga, and yes the anime splits from the manga storyline and ends in a completely different place (world infact) and SE made it so no more will ever be made .
The anime is the best and I strongly comment it And there is no filler, well one episode which followed around Mustang and it was pretty good too!
Oh, this anime is one of my favorite anime ever just the relationship between brothers is so adorable T_T I'm so touched with it <3
the movie is nice but for me it is unsatisfied ending I don't know why >.>
I think I should start read the manga since alot of people said it is much more exciting and different twists and story there !
I recommand this anime/manga/movie to all who are interested to see a real amazing story!
Great movie. I saw it after I finished the anime. Sad ending though. Poor Winry. Don't worry, no spoilers.
I do believe the history is very accurate. It even showed the Beer Hall Putsch in 1923, convieniently the same year Conqueror of Shamballa occured. Although, Eckart's first name was Dietrich, not Dietlinde, and he was a guy.
Any of you seen the Kids OVA? It shows Ed at the age of 100 in Japan and with GRANDCHILDREN!!! XD
Ed must've cloned himself... mini!Ed looks exactly like... well, Ed. Yes, I'm aware that you said this first.
I'm sad at the ending too... but it's realistic, so I don't hate it. It's not like they aimed for a tragedy or anything... the only thing I really protest against is Heiderich's death. ;__; Oh Al... why must you always die at the end of FMA, whether it be the movie or the series?
Good movie overall. <3
