thats not something we can answer..we dont work at Square Enix, and we dont know the Future...i can tell you that Compilations are nothing new to the series, and there's no reason to beleive that Final Fantasy XIV will have these sort of companion games....
ah my bad i kinda phrased it wrong. I done a edit now, i was just tired of the arguements in the other threads so i wanted to come out with something els to talk about.
Ohh, I get it now. This'll sound silly, but clothes changes. It's just one of those things you've gotta have if you want realism. Realism is what they're going for, so it'd make all the difference.
Final Fantasy will continue to change and evolve over time, so im not worried about the series becoming stale...if what your asking is, do i want there to be these Compilations for every new entry in the series..my answer is a very loud and far reaching NO!
I do enjoy seeing development over the course of their games, and that is one thing I hope they continue to implement. However, usage of traditional aspects also helps to maintain that nostalgic feeling; you know, the moment you put the game in and it starts up, you find yourself with a huge grin on your face--that's what I like. Basically, a mix of old and new.
yeah that's how i feel bun, While i love having a fresh new FF i also like some aspects of the old games there too. For example the Main menu screen were the calm music is being played in the background and the sound it makes when you select something, Or things like Chocobos and so on. But i still look forward to that big change more, such as a new fresh system, weapons, magic, summons and so on.
I want cactuars, tonberries and chocobos to be in there lol j/k but i do like the calming music when you start the game up. If there are chocobos i don't want them to change the chocobo theme i mean it is always different in every game but it always has the same tune know what i mean but jokes a side i like new summons but still have some old ones in there as well like Bahamut lol i hope he is in there. I just want it to be, well FF keep some new things but add in some old even if it is just fan service. I don't know how to say what i want to say. Sorry if i made no sense in this post and if i did then you need to go get help lol.

Oh yes, the good old chocobo theme. It just wouldn't be Final Fantasy without it. Although the cactuars and tonberries have a place here too I guess. Even though they both creeped me out a little at first.
They just look so helpless until... OMG! They kill you in one hit.
Okey getting a little off topic, I'm done now.
