Default Politics or Religion

Word of mouth is nobody liked the storyline of FF 12 and it was basely about Politics so now FF 13 ( atleast verses, as far as we know) maybe based on Religion or the whole FF 13 series as well. So as we as people, we choose Religion over politics; even though sometimes it's all the same but just a different field. Or was the story for FF 12 just not as good as we wanted.

Well the story telling in FF12.. especially the Politics was sometimes just one big fog to me and didn't really kept me 100% in the story (Which was gone soon after the cut scene but still...)

Well, my sig says it all about what I think of politics and/or religion in a game. I can tell I'm gonna love Versus.

Looks like there'll be politics, to me. Probably highly influenced by Religion. I think there'll be a lot of underhandedness, and corruption maybe? Well, that's my guess.

in my opinion, xii was alright, but the reason plp didn't like it so much is; the fan base was maybe a little to young for a political based story. religion is an easy concept for most plp to grasp. so when they see wars and fighting based off of religion, it just seems "right". since most, almost all, wars are started with a difference in religion. even the "war on terror" is basically diference in religion. and scared white plp.

I personally really liked the story of FFXII, I enjoyed the different turn it took from its previous titles.

So in all I don't really care what turn Versus takes so long as it keeps me playing. Though I get the feeling it'll be more about politics?

What are you trying to say? that Im old?? nah just kidding

I agree with you actually, a more mature audience would enjoy a game like FFXII more than the Y-generation but since more and more young guns are getting into FF, maybe it'll not be politics based. Dunno about it being religion based though

I am a much bigger fan of Politics. That is why we get all those awesome wars in history. Religion is just a scapegoat for them.

Yes, it is true. No one believes in the higher powers anymore so a game about breaking religion is pleasant and a good way to get out of going to church and stuff.

note*I am not serious. Or am I??!! HOOHOO

lol QFT. bitches are always looking for excuses not to do things nowadays. I seriously dont want the game to be shallow because of the y-generation though.... that would blow so much.

Post Storyline!

I`m 14 but I still see what you guys are saying and I agree. I am no exception to what you're all saying seeing as I prefer what you're all saying about Y- generation. Still, one of the things I highly keep note of in a game is storyline, and if I love / like the storyline very much then I could care less of what it's based off of.

I'm 18, and I wasn't a HUGE fan of FFXII's storyline. I don't know what it was, but it kind of bored me, and i've yet to complete the game. I want to like it, and i'm currently playing it again. It's entertaining, but the characters lack ... character, they're vanilla.

Anyway, I don't care if this game is religious or political. Honestly, how much difference is there between the two anyway?

i do have to agree with lustre. XII did lack some development, the politic thing was only part of it. i mean seriously did we learn anything new about penelo after the first 5 mins of the game.

I learned that her parents were killed during the war after taking Vaan in when Reks died. That and she is in some great hentai.

Also I think politics is more interesting because it result sin some deep shit and emotions, conspiracy. Religion does to but, like Desi said, its a scapegoat. Religion is over done in FF to I think.

well, to be honest, i don't remember seeing much religion in the ffs. i guess i sorta see the religion part as plp blindly worshiping something. but since in the games there might be some kind of manifestation of it, it never seemed like too much. understand what i said?

Doesn't matter if it's based on Religion or Politics, As long as the plot/story is interesting. I simply don't like FF12 for many reasons, Just to give a few... i'm not interested in the characters what so ever and i don't like the plot. I started FFx and FF12 recently both at the same time and i pretty much forgot about FF12.

FFx is more about religion and since i'm not religous I really enjoyed that game if you know what i mean.
