Is it just me, or are nobodies just one pain in the ass and out right annoying? I really find no structure in them and they just seem to be thrown into KH with a crappy few characters. In KH II I was so overjoyed to see the first heartless because god do they have a better meaning in my oh so humble opinion!
Read all of the Ansem Reports from KH2 and you'll understand a little more why adding Nobodies to the series was a great concept to add to the series. Think about it. There's really not much more to the concept of Heartless(besides releasing there hearts to form Kingdom Hearts)after Sora already greatly reduced the H's #'s, from sealing the Keyholes. I think, & after reading the Ansem Reports, that this a great new concept to add, along side the effect of becoming a Heartless. Since there's darkness in one
Without Nobodies there would be no KH2 or CoM. If they did make KH2 without Nobodies it would be the same thing as the first game. They had to answer the question of what happens to a persons body when their heart is removed? This would then lead to the points of Sora and Kairi having their hearts removed, so they would naturally have a Nobody, and the same for Xehanort also. Heartless are just mindless beasts who crave darkness; there were only two people who ever kept their form, Xehanort and Sora. But with Nobodies, anybody who has a strong heart retains their form, memories and personality, and I think it's interesting that they don't have a heart. Does this mean they lack emotion? If they have emotions, does that mean that maybe they still do have a heart in some way?
Those are the main points that i've been trying to get at. And a lot of what you said is also dealt with in the Ansem Reports.
Also, Kairi is one of the 7 Princesses of Hearts ( the 7 of purest hearts), so she can never change into a Heartless and only a Nobody (Namine) was somehow born. That is also mentioned in the (KH2)Ansem Reports.

Well then, I guess I'm at a standpoint to say that I now find no point in the sequels. :/
Well the next few games are all prequels as there are a lot of questions about stuff that happened before Sora became the Keyblade Master. As for a game set after KH2, I dunno. The Heartless are still out there, and as long as there are Heartless there'll also be Nobodies.
How can it be a prequel when Roxas ( at least a Roxas look alike[Ven]) is in it. And if he's in it then Roxas [maybe Ven] then Sora would be too, since Roxas only appeared because Sora used his KBon himself ( Sora mastered it by then). And Roxas only obtained the keyblade because of dreams of Sora & his connection to him. So, this wouldn't make it a sequel, but a trilogy.
Of course, if it isn't Roxas somehow being Ven then everything here is pretty invalid. =_=
It's Ven, not Roxas. It's clearly a prequel because there's been scenes shown of Terra watching the younger versions of Sora and Riku playing. I'm sure it'll be explained in the game why Ven looks like Roxas, or rather, why Roxas looks like Ven.
Well, I guess everything I said is invalid then. Where is all this info available anyways. Links please.
Hey, what if that bald guy who wears Ansem's outfit happened to be willingly possessed by that guy ( wearing red & black armor) who appeared from the bald guy ( just as Ansem was to Riku). Who knows, he may even turn out to be one of the main plotdevices of the game. Just a guess though. Any thoughts on this theory. [Remember, I havent check out any true info on the plot yet so dont blame me] > . <
Nobodies have better designs and exp gain, so Nobodies > heartless.
Diddo! Also, nobodies have more meaning to me than Heartless do! Not going to expand on that though. Of course, we all have our different thoughts and opinions on this though. But to me, the concepts behind both entities are equal in complexity and amount so just exept both for what they are since they are the 2 main pillars that carry the series along and KH wouldn't be what it is today without them.
