I have to say I liked the trailer but I really wasn't excited after seeing it. Once again it's nothing new. It was just like the scans we've seen before but moving. The music was alright I suppose.
Maybe as I wasn't expecting it, I didn't build up enough excitement beforehand. Maybe if they never released the screenshots to magazines it would have felt newer. Anyone else pretty underwhelmed?
I have felt underwelmed ever since they threw the trailers in the closed theather that faithful TGS. Maybe you just aren't interested in wire-fu all the time with Storm Riders style cutscenes anymore? Maybe you are spiteful about the Xbox360 version? All in all I am pleased they released that trailer finally so I can read all of the silly posts taking it apart and examing everything.
Still it comes down to this: I want gameplay. Cutscenes don't do it for me. Why am I hyped for Last Remnant? Gameplay. Lot of it and it snares me in its fangs. Star Ocean 4 just caught my interest with the gameplay in its trailer. FFXIII is just riding on a name and 7 seconds of mock-up battle scenes for me.
I liked it, it wasn't the most thrilling or exciting but it was something. I liked seeing the red-haired girl animated. Could they have thrown us a bigger bait? Yes, I wish they did...
i think the trailer would've been better if square enix didnt keep nerfing the footage. the bits from the CLOUD DVD trailer were nerfed, and they used symphony music (which is ok for an opening sequence like it was in FFXII) but for a trailer it didn't really set the mood for hype or suprise.
I quite like it for the new footage but other than that, it just didn't have the 'oomph' of the other trailers I dont think.
the intro to the CLOUD DVD trailer with the slightly-technoish electric guitar i thought was cool. i was expecting something like that in a new trailer.
I really hoped there would be more gameplay footage but still i was just hoping to see something anything new and that is what we have i enjoyed it quite a bit but i want gameplay dammit.

Yeah Kit, your right, in other words it was shit, nothing new really, they just did that trailer to announce it for 360 i guess.
In a way im glad they didnt show anything else, since the more they keep to them selfs the more fun we will have when we play it, just the 2 old trailers plus the scans in motion, nothing to be hyped up anyways, you can actualy feel it in the air, the mood has droped after that trailer lol.

Yeah the mood really has dropped i watched it again and it really is nothing new in there man this sucks i mean really really sucks!

I agree with Desi here, it's been 2 years and really what do we know about the actual game itself and what it looks/feels like when you're actually playing it? Just showing CGI cutscene footage over and over is killing it for me. I know the game will be incredible when it finally reveals itself, but would it really be too much of an effort for Square Enix to show some proper real-time gameplay footage?
I remember being on this forum over a year ago and posting in a thread about guessing what the blond guys name is and we're still none the wiser now about the answer to that one. Development secrecy is one thing but SE are really pushing it with FFXIII.
All I want is some new information or footage about the actual gameplay, is that too much to ask?
I actually REALLY liked it. I never get tired of watching any of the trailers, and it was nice having different music in this one. It gives the game a different feel, but it reminded be of FFXII's music. I wasn't as excited as I was with the other trailers, but finally seeing the other characters in motion made it worth the watch.
im starting to think that i shouldnt have read the JUMP festa trailer summarys or saw the scans from FAMITSU MAG because it kinda spoiled it for me but im just glad we got something out it but ihope we will get more because we have to more days left

I tend to not pick apart a trailer or anything about an upcoming game anymore, purely because it ruins it for me. When I play a game I find it's most enjoyed when it's fresh and you don't know every little detail about it. Sound quite cliche considering I'm saying this on a website dedicated to bringing up every bit of news about the games. I guess what I'm getting at is that I don't mind the trailer being mainly cutscenes, but would really enjoy some gameplay sometime soon!
I enjoyed to be honest. I wasn't expecting much new stuff. Isn't this just what was shown at one of Square's private parties? And like someone already said, it's pretty much the screenshots we've already seen, except in motion.
It was pretty good overall I think, could be better though. Sirens back! Yay! And Carbuncle was absolutely adorable. In FFVIII I'd always summon it just 'cause it's so cute. On that note, anyone else think that the redheaded girl looks a bit like Selphie?
