Famitsu interviews Tetsuya Nomura , And he said that Lightning Has muscular legs, she isn't sweet and doesn't cry.
What do you think???
As for me :
I like Lightning personality more than before, cause I don't want to see those kinds of weakness in the females characters such as :- yuna and Aireth I feel bored with these types don't you think?? Lightning has a strong body and strong personality that doesn't mean she lacks emotional depth or she lacks feminine aspects. As for me I think the people who don't cry have more interesting emotional that kept inside them.
She could snap your neck with her thighs. ... I assume so, anyway.
A friend of mine said "I like to think Squeenix is building up our belief that Lightning is tough-as-nails, so they can totally shock us during the game when something tragic happens ... Something tragic enough to make Lightning cry."
... I have to say, I think the same. Because Squeenix is mean and likes to do things that make me cry.

Yes, the fanboys. ... And me.

Her legs don't look muscular to me. o_O Probably a bad translation.
Im pretty sure I've heard all this before, so I'm not going to post it.
Edit: Yep, found the interview about Versus.
Spoiler:
"-- How is the development of Versus XIII going?
Nomura: Everyone is very excited over this so I think we can make something good out of this. Part of our team has been together since the FF7 days but since we've spent such a long time working on KH, a lot of spirit is going into the development of a long-awaited FF for us.
-- What kind of FF will it turn out to be like?
Nomura: The action elements will be high in the game but instead of defeating the enemies from an audience's view, I want to give people the taste of actually being part of that world. The assignment here is whether we can build an FF with the suspense and thrill of Third-Person-Shooting or not. In that sense, the game will be a slightly different type of FF.
Nothing much new. But then there's another Nomura interview in the Dengeki PS extra booklet called "Relay" and, although the interview focused more on merchandising, it has some interesting news in it.
- Apparently Squenix wants to figure-ize more characters designed by Nomura but Nomura will instead be supervising more on accessories and apparel-related merchandises. He will probably make some original designs, too.
- It's confimed that Subarashiki Kono Sekai will have some action figures. Apparently there's a photo of a 15-cm-tall Neku and Shiki. No release date so far, though. (Apparently there's also a new figure for the PS version of Cloud)
- Still no plans of selling the Lightning figure since the game is still under development and there might be some alterations to her design. For now, the figure is only for show in events.
- No plans for a figure of Versus XIII main character too because the game is still under development and his design is still incomplete. However, they might think something apparel-wise.
- Everything shown of Versus XIII so far are still in temporary state. Nomura wants to do something new but it'll take some time to finish so the main character will have to keep wearing his 'temporary clothes' for awhile for now. Currently, Nomura's steadily finishing the designs of the other party members in the game so he should be able to show them someday. (hopefully soon)"
Badass Finally a really strong woman. As if we couldn't tell from looking at her... >.>

Yeah, it's WO- all the way!!!! Anyway, I think it's cool with a bad-ass female char. But I just hope that she'll have some emotions, so it's not going to be a ''shalow'' figure. But I'm sure that's not gonna happend.
She'll be the most masculine lead FF-character ever

My dad aint stronger then your dad, but he's stronger than your dad! If you struggle with this, then you can burn in hell. Other than that, it should be fine....

WHAT?! I actually really like the clothes hes wearing right now! I dont want them to give him more useless buckler decorations like Nomura likes to stick on them!
And does that mean the FFVXIII will have a party to play with?
Eh, Muscular legs dont really do it to me... Although alot of hot surfer chicks here have muscular legs....

What is that supposed to mean? Yuna and Aeris are frail bodied yet are strong minded. If you mean you also want strong bodied and strong minded aka Ashe ok, but I don't think that is what you meant. More like you take them as idiot damsels which they aren't those are called Rena, Rinoa, Garnet.
My closing note. Lightning is not muscular she lacks the Chun-li thighs. Those delicious thunder thighs.
I would say the one with muscular legs is the prince as he is the only one as of yet to snap someones neck with their legs. I actually thought that action was pretty feminine but him doing it looked slightly more masculine. I think if the "Lightning doesn't cry thing is true" then yes they are definitely going to do something to make her cry i think.

Yeah that is awesome but there are alot of strong women in FF series also like Tifa,Ashe,Fran,Quistos,well...thats all I can think of right now ^^; oh and Ultimecia heh.

----Strong legs = sexy asskicking moves.

I played Vagrant Story and enjoyed FF Tactics. That is why I love FFXII.

*eats her scratch pad* I hate Nomura. I love him, but I hate him so much. ; ; Nomura, please learn to speak in full sentences.
I am trying to get the Versus portion to cooperate and it's not. =/ Here's the (tentative) translation for FFXIII's portion. I totally reserve the right to edit screw-ups without warning. >____>; Mine and Maiki's translations are different, and I don't know why...
- lines are the interviewer's:
-Lightning's muscles and such make an impression, don't they? She is muscular, but attractive.
Nomura: In drawing Lightning, the most essential thing was that she is a "cool character." You can't have a cool character without sex appeal.
-What kind of "cool" is she?
Nomura: Serious, and unforgiving, yeah, she is a relentless character, isn't she? Maybe she is harsh on herself too, but she is not the type to coddle people. When she meets other people, she's not the kind who changes according to them, but instead you can see that she is a kind of individualistic person who gives off the impression of someone who unswervingly follows the guidelines inside of herself.
-Was that harshness more than was intended in the design?
Nomura: I was asked to make her strong and beautiful, but when I read the scenario, I thought "Is that all?" They were saying that she is a soldier, and her personality was certainly of one. She is not a "whiner." Actually, before we decided on the type we have for her now, there were a variety of different Lightnings. There were some by other staff members, too, and in the beginning, she didn't have the same image as she does now.
-Like what, for example?
Nomura: She was Asian. The final Lightning is considerably more chiseled. Her eyes are more deeply set in than a typical heroine. Also, her cheekbones are more prominent than other female characters. In these ways, Lightning's design changed considerably. Other things are hidden, so you can't tell, but her legs are lean and her abdominal muscles are defined. Toriyama was particular about her having an athlete's body. However, if the heroine was too "macho," it would be difficult for players to associate emotionally with her, and so while serving the director's intentions for her, I tried to make her a bit sweet. That intent appears in things like her hairstyle and hair color.
