This is game that i am waiting long long time..but i am afraid to tell the truth that will not be so good that we think is gonna be...i liked first versus animation and main chracter is awesome but those other guys doesnt look like from fantasy,they are more like regular peoples..and in final fantasy 13 lightning and that blue hair guy are awesome but this new red hair girl-nah...long time i am waiting for world map and exploring with ship..if this game will not have then sck..i love in final fantasy 9 exploring world while searching for treasures..i was thrilled with final fantasy 12 too,and then when i got it i dissapointed so much..worse final fantasy for me,characters look stupid,battle is crap,world and exploring are crapy too,there is no more puzzles and beautifull levels,it reminds me on hack and slash or something from dungeons and dragons..its all identitical..only final fantasy that i didnt finish..i hope this one will be finnaly good one..what you guys think? it looks legendary and all but we cant know until we play it right..for now i like almost each detail,finnaly normal final fantasy..but...hm...i doubt that on this generation can all our dreams come true..

Still a long time to go.. PS3 has alot to give, and we have another 2 years probably till they come out.
But to me the last scans were the ones that hyped me up. The videos not that much.

I think the world map is gone forever, unless they decide to make another 'retro' game before a console shift or for the 50th anniversary (it could coincide with the release of FFXV and be one of the spin-offs of it.)
I'd say FFXIII has more potenial than FFvsXIII.
I really don't understand the already growing hype upon FFvsXIII, it may be fangirls squealing and getting off over CG screenshots of the male leads, i can't be sure.
But i can see about FFXIII failing, considering the Director of FFX-2 is also the Director for FFXIII, (but considering FFX-2 had a great ATB system, it was mainly just the story)
Hopefully this will be full of the crazy shit which we love about the FF series.

yeah i think that Final Fantasy XIII have much more potential then FFXIIIvs...FFXIII have much more fantasy world,FFXIIIvs is more futuristic and i dont know who wants that final fantasy become like real life,no much fun in that...for now i like world of Final Fantasy XIII but creating whole world map with such a big details,i doubt that PS3 can run that...and one more detail in FFXIII,main character is girl..all main characters in FFs look a bit like females so finnaly they make female character..but i dont know is that good...we gonna see ...and about graphic..well if FFXIII is gonna be released in 2009 that graphic will be normal then...and i think that Crysis today have better graphic then FFXIII will have...but characters look great,congrats to designers...what battle system and magic system you guys love most? from which final fantasy..? maybe you see this strange but best magic system for me was in FF9..each character haved his abilitys and that is all i want..that each character is different...in all other final fantasy you can have all spells with each character only limits are different..that suck...no fun,no mixing them much...big loss...i know that all others FFs then 9 give you freedom to make your character in way you want but...nah..is not that good..on end all characters will have same abilities and you gonna use again ones with best equipments and limits...and in FF12 that was for me one of worse things in game+combined with stupid design of weapons and characters...not to mentioning that most of monsters look same,it really reminds me on mmorpg but with only one player on server ...i dont know hope that FF13 will not have anything similiar to stuffs i mentioned...

well if anything... i dont think eather games will desapoint.
in any case, FFX to XII did not have what i wanted them to have eather, im used to FF12 battle couse i play FF11 online.. so i liked FF12, but hated the story i just loved the hunting stuff, i wanted some unick Limit Breaks, and best magic system was materia by far!! i like the fact of caracters with deferent unick abilitys that is really good. FF9 is good, some reason i like 8 very much, but 7 is still the best FF yet.
But i think FF13 will have that system, so far all caracters defer alot from eachother.
Has for Versus, i like what i see, not much on battle system yet, so i cant comment, but the main guy seams to be like level 99 oredy lol I just dont want them to change battle system into a KHs style... that would kill the game for me, even tho it would be fun, but KHs is KHs, and FF is FF.

WOW...I totally agree.... FF12 s*cked big time. Didn't finish it either.
I would really love to see a return of the world map i think i read somewhere that you might be able to control an aircraft if it is true then hopefully a return for the world map. I loved FFXII sure it is not one of my favorites by a long run but i still put in 250+ hours on it. For the battle system i hope it is like they say make it faster like an action game but still keep the strategic element of previous Final Fantasy's that we all love so much if it is like that then our minds and fingers would be able to move like lightning (No pun intended...well maybe a little) i want a fast paced yet very strategic battle against enemies that are just as strategic and fast paced as you are and maybe a boss (Not final but maybe secret optional boss) that will take me about 30 min+ to beat and that will make me think fast yet come up with very strategic plans on how to kill it you know against something much more powerful than i am something that i do not have a hope in hell of killing i want something that makes me think and think on edge i know nothing like this will be in either game but i can hope either way it will not be dissapointing to me as i have enjoyed every single Final Fantasy i have ever played and i have played FFI-FFX and FFXII along with alot of ones not in the main series including but not limited to FFX-2 FFLegend FFLegendII FFMystic quest (though that one to me never had a FF feel) FFTactics FFTactics advance and so on and so forth. For Final Fantasy Versus XIII i heard that it will be a more realistic version of Kingdom Hearts though hopefully more (and i can't stress this enough) strategic and i would like to see HARDER enemies in both FFXIII & FFvXIII the harder they are the more i will enjoy them i am not talking hack and slash it while trying to stay alive hard i mean something that really makes me think anyway i am sorry for the long post i will end it here.
I'm expecting Versus to lean in a more KH-style of gameplay and, by the looks of it so far, style of imagery. Especially compared to KH2, it seems to follow the darker, grittier aspects of Nomura's designs more than the traditional FF molds. And well, I personally have no problem with that whatsoever - I just don't want to be playing it one day and think 'hey, it feels like I'm playing another KH!' That would blow chunks, to be quite straightforward. If they can find a balance, which giving SE the benefit of the doubt (even with their past, ummh, BLUNDERS, so to speak) I'm a bit skeptical - but for now I just wish they'd listen at least somewhat to what the fans have to say. We know what we want better than they do, after all.
