Well I've bought a new server for the site, a good one. I bought it a few days ago but now it's after Christmas I can move us over. I've already tested it with another domain I own and it all works fine.

It's a Virtual Private Server which means we get set our own resources instead of what we're on now which is a server that we share with 10 other sites and we can pay more or less by sliding our resources up or down.
The server is gonna be called "Moogle", like this one and the name servers are called "Ifrit.FinalFantasy-XIII.net" and "Shiva.FinalFantasy-XIII.net" because NS1 and NS2 is boring.
What this will actually do is hopefully stop all those annoying Internal Server Errors that we sometimes get. Ironically when I was trying to post this I got an Internal Server Error and had to start again ;D.
Anyway I wasn't planning on moving it this early because it's much more complicated than our old server but it seems everything's ready now. I'm aiming to move us from this server to our new one tomorrow. Hopefully if things go alright, the switch-over should go ahead with very little site downtime but there will be a few things that need fixing once everythings fully moved. I'll be closing the forums for a short time tomorrow to make sure that all the posts are brought over to our new server.
FinalFantasyVersusXIII.net won't be effected (except for the forums briefly). Anyway, let's hope this goes well. I'll post an announcement and update this thread when the move has started.

Okay guys. The server move will begin at 1:45am (15 minutes from now). The forums will be closed sometime soon after. Any issues we have after the server move will be fixed as quickly as possible.
Right. Done most of it and everything's going well so far. The server move isn't complete but I don't want to keep the forums turned off too long and ruin everyone's fun. Beware though that the forums could go off again sometime over the next day to finish the server move.
Server Move Complete Everything worked out fine! There may be one or two people who can't view the forums but that's because their ISP hasn't updated. They should be able to see it soon.
Download links on the main site won't work for the next few hours because I'm updating them and trying to get onto the forums through the FinalFantasyVersusXIII.net domain won't work for a little while.
Dante and me decided it would be easier to host FinalFantasyVersusXIII.net on the new server so I'll be moving that over tonight. There's no longer a need to host his forums on a separate server as this one is much more reliable. The forums don't need to be closed for this move so it shouldn't disrupt anyone.
