I haven't beaten them, I tend to just avoid them. Unfortunately this play through I'm trying to get all of the ultimate weapons and limit breaks and they're getting in the way... [cue Jaws theme music]
If you can beat Valefor you should be able to beat Ifrit who I think is supposed to be the easiest.
Or just pay Yojimbo a big fortune and hope for Zanmato. That's what I did all the way up to Dark Yojimbo. FIVE FUCKING TIMES!?!?!?!? And I can't save?! And I managed the incredible trick to overwrite my 880 hour save...

My dad aint stronger then your dad, but he's stronger than your dad! If you struggle with this, then you can burn in hell. Other than that, it should be fine....
Yes, i have. Partly anyway. My brother trained Yuna, Lulu and Tidus to the max and used them as the main weapon.
But he did this after beat all of the other Dark Aeons except for Yojimbo. Since we didnt know you had to beat the piss of shit 5 times. Anyway, the trick was double casting ultima, sacrificing yuna's aeons in every turn for Dark Yojimbo, and of course, hastega.
Truthfully, it was a freaking awesome feeling beating Dark Yojimbo.
Yeah Bikanel can be a pain, especially if you're under-levelled but if you're going there to fight Dark Ifrit then you should be strong enough to endure because it'll be pretty late on in the game.

By the time you reach that point of the game, you should be able to already have the no encounters ability in at least someone's weapon.

If you had the No Encounters ability then you wouldn't have to worry the random encounters and just have to put up with the walk.
Yup, Penance. He/she looks like the mushroom from Mario Brothers except has a really long body and has a lot of patterns on him. That's the best way i can describe his looks. I can barely remember...but yea, enjoy ;D
