Defying gravity, is just breaking the rule of being able to overcome the force the earth has upon us, the only thing that keeps us pulled towards the center of the earth.
But defying gravity, is having the ability to float within mid-air, and only NASA have the ability to do that.
l don't understand what does defy gravity means? and what can lightning do what shes defying gravity somene please let me know
for brief amounts of time lightning has the ablitiy do defy gravity using some craftly hidden buttons on her finger and thumb
Why can she do this?
CUZ SHES COOL
DBZ fighters can do it because they're chock full of steroids, and when you have about a pound of steroids a day, you can do pretty much anything.
As for defying gravity. Damn, that'll be so much fun to do during the game.
Lightning has some little buttons on her fingertips. These buttons empower her with the ability to move beyond what a regular person in the game's universe can. She can flip, walk upside down, and stay in the air for a large amount of time.
Still not sure if what I wrote is correct. I read it in many places but there hasn't been any further information on it. I'm pretty sure it only works in Overclock mode though.
..........Terros i wanna rape your sig and avy *_*
*cough cough*
uhh what was this thread about? Ahh yes defying gravity, hmmm in video games not to defy the law of physics is actually the wrong way to go about.....did i answer the questions *scrolled up and got distracted again*
Lightning being able to defy gravity seems like it would fun to use in-game. Although, I wonder if some enemies will be able to use this feature as well. I sure they will or the game wouldn't be challenging.
Defyiing gravity sort of takes me back to Advent Children. It was used a bit too much I think, but it also made the movie more interesting. Maybe it will work the same way in FFXIII? Maybe Lightning uses it only for certain battles or cutscenes or maybe it can be used in every battle(which to me, like Advent Children, could get annoying)?
EDIT: I just read Kitmitsu's post about Lightning using it in Overclock mode. Is Overclock mode sort of like a Limit Break type thing?
In AC, when the FFVII cast catapulted Cloud into Bahamut, that was an example of defying gravity (or friggin superhuman strength). But even that was limited, as he fell right back. Oh, and don't forget the duel with Sephiroth. As I recall, he could pretty much levitate at will. Actually, there's probably a lot of examples in AC.

What is known about the Overclock mode is in the battle system page on the main site. Check it out there.

That movie was full of lots of stupid crap like that. The whole "symbolic" throw into the air by your friends crap was the cream of the crap. CLOUD CAN FLY. Northern crater FFVII disc two, end of story.
