I personally think that if you commit suicide you are pathetic. If you cannot overcome the problems that come your way or the ones that you made yourself and commit suicide...It makes me sick thinking of how weak those people are.
I think that as long as you have the persons consent, Euthanasia is fine. But only if you are on life support or like a living vegatable, if you can overcome your illness, live.
Where you kill someone because they are in, for example, a catatonic state and the majority believes that it would be better to kill them than to let them suffer anymore.
Suicide should be made legal. Who are we to say if someone should die, or if their problems weren't dying for? It's their choice. As for euthanasia, I don't really have an opinion. If someone is in obvious pain and you have their consent, do it. Otherwise, don't.
I remember I had to do a debate on euthanasia.

People who commit suicide are selfish and/or weak. Don't give me any babble about "emotions", "insurmountable difficulties" or any other such excuses, the strong can overcome any personal problems, or die fighting them. Either of these is preferable to the easy (and selfish) way out.

But what if they've made a mistake? What if life is worth living for? They can't exactly just come back, can they.

If your entire family died, and you had nothing left, I'm not sure you'd be saying the same thing.(Just an example)

Not much compassion in this thread is there? Everyone has moments of despair and many people have committed or contemplated suicide. It doesnt make them weak people. What is it with this crappy generation? We look down on people far too easily and instead of offering a helping hand we push them back into the dirt.
The suicide rate worldwide is climbing, maybe we should be trying to sort out the problems that cause people to do this, like bullying and abuse and such, rather then going OMG YOU PHAIL LOL.
Also assisted suicide for terminally ill patients who can proove they are sane and making the decision independantly should be made legal.
Hey, I'm compassionate! I wouldn't do anything cruel like that to a suicidal person. I'd feel sorry for them and try to help them. Plus I don't think they would respond like that just to be cruel. I think they're trying to go for a sort of tough love approach. Still, I wouldn't have the heart for it though.
