So god created heaven and hell? And he appointed Satan as the 'ruler' of hell? Pretty sweet deal, he gets to torture all these 'evil' people for all eternity. Come on you Christians tell me what hell is all about?
God never created hell. God only wants peace doesn't he? Why would he create hell? I think Hell is just born the same way as how the Heaven was built. And what is Satan got to do with this?

Satan is Lucifer who is an angel who rebelled against god and caused major drama. God cast him out and Hell was born. That's pretty much the explanation you get from lots of movies.
satan was actually the highest angel but he wanted the power of God and has since been trying to harvest peoples souls for his cause. he was consumed in hate for all things and takes pleasure in peoples suffering and downfall...and hell is where he resides

Muslims don't believe Satan is the ruler of hell. When the time comes, the devil will also be punished in hell.
We (christians) know that when the Jesus comes back, Satan will learn his place.
Bingo.
But even though Satan is the ruler of Hell, he is still UNDER God's rule, in the Bible he had to ask to test one of God's believers, I believe it was Job.
Satan cannot really do anything, except try and change your mind, he cannot make you not believe in God.
Satan?? What happened to Michael and Gabriel then??
This thread isn't about Michael and Gabriel. It's about Satan.
@Nocte
Thank you for mentioning Job. (You're correct, it is Job.)
I really don't know if God created Hell or not. And I honestly don't care that much either because Hell is a place I never want to go. But now you've sparked my curiousity.

Your Welcome.
I know that God created Hell to house Satan and all of the other fallen angels and sinners of the world.
And I think that if you are going to Hell, you go there right after you die, I think that after Judgment Day is when Satan might be vanquished or something like that. Its been a while since I looked at Revelation.

Bullseye! Though Satan's not the ruler of hell, he will be tortured there as well.
Satan as of now is not yet in hell. He is imprisoned and guarded by Michal the Arch Angel....think that's spelled right. Sinners unconsiously enter heaven in their Spiritual Bodies, and await the White Throne Judgement. I'll look into these things to make sure I'm right on names.
God will open the Lake of Fire (hell) at the White Throne Judgement. Where the non-blievers are judged and thrown into hell for all eternity.
In God's unyielding fairness, Satan will be released upon the Earth for some time for God to see who will follow Satan, or Him. Crap! Outta time.
Damn! did it again, didn't read the second page.

lol I was just reading Angels and Demons today. What's up with the Illuminati? And it said something about satan, about how the word originated from what the church called the Illuminati or something. Is that true though?
If we're speaking in terms that Satan is a 'being', then Satan is evidence of hypocrisy, right? If God is all-forgiving, and if Satan is eternal, why not give him a chance? People become indifferent if they live to eternity: their hates and loves are eventually forgotten, replaced by boredom and meaninglessness. Unless indifference is a sin, then Satin should be back in heaven.
