During the first time I watched the trailer, I saw some comments about Lightning. They said SHE LOOKS LIKE A GUY! Looks like Cloud. I think Tesuya Nomura said something about her looking almost like Cloud. Seriously, does she really look like a guy?

I wouldn't say she looks like a guy but she doesn't look as girly as some of the other female characters in the series. Nomura's task was to design a female lead that would be an equivalent to Cloud with a strong personality and I think she turned out pretty well

Well, HOPEFULLY you can distinguish the difference between a guy and chick......BUT IF NOT, then no, Lighting is a CHICK.

I cannot believe somebody thought Lighting was a guy.......

I can see some features that would be misleading. But Lightning is indeed female. I can't see why anyone would think otherwise.

I never said she really looks like a guy, but some people are saying that she looks like a guy. My sibling said said that she is a guy. Maybe it's because she does resemble Cloud a bit

My mother always thinks everyone in FF looks like a girl. I suppose when you're used to the 'anime' look you can easily identify she's a girl, but a random person could get confused.

Even I didn't know whether the person from Agito was a girl or a guy at first.

I don't know she looks like a girl to me, I do agree that FF characters do have a gender mix up(Vaan) but as long as its not the main or important character(like vaan) it doesn't bother me, and I don't think lightining looks like a guy so this doen't bother me.

She does look masculine in some screens(like the one in the banner) but in some other ones she looks pretty feminine

I think this has something to do with her design not being finished yet ,Its the same with the Versus dude who looks very feminine at times and quite masculine at others

The men are getting more feminine and the girls breasts have been shrinking since FFVII. Maybe it's Square's evil plan to create one single gender?

No girl had big tits in FF besides Princess Sara, Tifa, Lani (somewhat), Lulu, and maybe just maybe Lion. So that statement is kind of wrong.

You think so? Or maybe they went too far with Tifa so they had to make adjustments with Lightning. So maybe that may be a possible reason why she could look like a guy to other people
