We've spent a long time planning and we've finally booked all our flights and tickets meaning me and Dante are definitely going to Leipzig in Germany for the Games Convention from the 22nd August until the 26th. For those who don't know what it is, it's the second biggest games convention in the world after TGS (thanks to the downscaling of E3). I think last year it had about 180,000 people attending.
I'm not really going for anything specific but Kojima is going to be there doing a demo of MGS4 for us . Dante is going for Silent Hill Origins which is playable and Silent Hill 5/V announcements mostly. It's costing us alot of money and we're both going to be completely alone in a country where we can't even say the word "Train Station". I'm just telling you all so it's easier to recognise the bodies.
Square never has a big presence there so XIII announcements seem extremely unlikely
Okay, we're off on Wednesday morning and we're sure to die. Getting around Germany looks impossible O_O. If only our airport was somewhere near our hotel. Still...if we do get there maybe Kojima and I will have eye contact which would complete my life.

If you want to survive in Germany, just try and be nice, and avoid alleys, you will surely get mugged/raped/called a buggery by passers by.
I learnt that from personal experience.
Oh he will He'll point out into the crowd and ask me to do the MGS4 demo instead of him. Leaving in 3 hours and had no sleep yet :/. The hotel should have Wifi and I'll have my PSP with me. Dante's been lazy and left his packing till the last minute .
Germany was crazy. They have double decker trains. Got to play every single game I wanted to and we got some Sony press stuff off of some Norwegian journalists. YAY FREE STUFF! This Konami disc has MGS4 PSDs and screenshots bigger than my screen. The Sony press kit also came with a fold out Playstation 3 chair, how cool is that? Square-Enix was there but it was only Square Europe so they showed off all the crap thats already out which was to be expected. We got to see the first public showing of the MGS4 trailer and we watched Kojima on stage . I would have soo many children with that man. Didn't manage to get any of the T-shirts they were throwing out though :/.
This isn't because I'm a Sony fan but the Microsoft booth was awful....some cheap Desert Island style booth with sand while the Playstation 3 booths took up half a hall and were amazing. Didn't see any red rings of death but we did see PS3s freeze up several times but we were told that was because of the demos being played (many are the same as the Sony Gamers day).
