Aphrodite, Weine, Amethest

Aphrodite is a beautiful city located in the country of Amethest. The city is adorned with buildings that looked as artistic and unique as the monument that once populated ancient Greece.

Reneus moaned as he sat in the main hall of the magnificent palace. Not again... when does this guy give up?

"Reneus! My nephew! You are a member of one of the wealthiest and highest-ranking families of the continent! Thus, you must act like one!" Lord Syen's voice boomed across the room.

Reneus just moaned again, his blue-green eyes still focused on the red carpet instead of his uncle's face.

The lord shook his head, making the many-jewelries on his fat body shake violently, "Look at me when I'm talking!! ...and...and sit right!!" His fists shook with anger and he pointed a accusing finger at the other.

The young man closed his eyes with pure annoyance. Geez.... How the heck did I get myself into this?

Lord Syen tried again, "You can have everything here, great food, expensive equipment, mentors--"

"Yeah yeah, whatever, can I go now?" Reneus interrupted the fat man, his eyes still closed and he flicked his wrist dismissively.

The lord tried to contain the anger and forced a tight smile on his face, "Do you realize now that you are in my care, whatever you do affects me as well?"

The teenager finally decided to open his eyes for the first time the conversation started, but he only opened it half-way, giving him a lazy look, "Sure, Pops, it's not like I'm going to go grab a knife and stab everyone I see."

"Not staying home and getting proper education is a disgrace to a noble family such as ours!"

Reneus suddenly snapped, he banged on the table he was leaning on and stood up, "And who dragged me into this good-for-nothing family?! It was you! I was 15, I could taken care of myself! Did you think I honestly need to be here? Do you think I honestly WANT to be here?" With that said, he started for the majestic double doors.

"Seize him!!" Lord Syen ordered, his voice echoed so loudly across the room that it could probably be heard from outside the palace as well.

32 guards surrounded him, with their weapons at ready. "Do you think...." he grinned and the metal wristband transformed to a long pole, "...you can actually beat me...?"

He pointed his weapon directly at the guard between him and the doors, "...TOUGH LUCK!!" And he leaped into the air and landed a devasting blow on the target.

"DON'T LET HIM ESCAPE!!" The lord shouted as the final wave of soldiers ran past him. Reneus, with a grin, easily knocked them off their feet and stood over the fallen men and looked at his uncle.

"Heheh, that was fun! Thanks for the training!!" He waved and ran out the doors. Freedom, he thought as he passed the frightened maid and servants in the hallways.

"The end!" Reneus concluded the story with a low, mocking bow. The children whooped and cheered and one boy jumped up and announced to the others, "I'm going to be just like Reneus when I grow up! Who wants to be my sidekick?" The children started waving their hands in the air and shouting loudly.

"You're great with kids," Siane commented as he walked away from the messy crowd.

"No, my stories are. So where are you going with all that luggage?"

"Back to Celeus, to see my sister Reilee."

"Can I come with?" Reneus asked, smiling a little too wide.

Siane rolled her eyes and turned towards his airship.

"Keep eyes looking straight ahead, will you?" Five minutes into the trip and Siane is already ticked off with Reneus's attention span. "What are you talking about? I can steer just fine with my eyes closed! Observe!" He closed his eyes and made the ship spin with amazing speed then back to normal.

Siane's pet lion, Libra, gave him a glare before going back to sleep while her master attempted to kick her playful companion.

Reneus withdrew his legs in time so she missed her mark and grinned, "See? Totally under contro--"

Something smashed into the ship and made it stray quite a distance from its original position. "Okay okay, I get it, you the man, now stop fooling around!" Siane had a terrified look in her eyes.

"You think I'll do THAT to my ship just to show off?! Looking the radars, I think we're surrounded!"

"Surrounded? By what?" Siane looked over the youth's shoulder, frowning slightly at the radar. The ship gave a loud groaning sound as a new volley of missiles attacked it.

Reneus looked carefully at the details of each enemy ship as they past him while trying his best to dodge their projectiles. "Red.... K.V..... What's... Oh! Kiezas Vue!"

"Who?!" Siane questioned him with a bizarre look.

"Kiezas is a wealthy man and an Auriel...you know, the powerful religious group in Vermilia?" He answered without eye contact.

"I heard...from my grandmother...but why would he attack us?"

"Need you ask?" He turned back and pointed at the flag with the emblem of his family.

"So some sort of wealthy priest hates your uncle so much that he decides to attack anyone who just happen to have his emblem? Wow, that's harsh," Siane blinked.

Kiezas? A priest? Too bad I'm too busy keeping ourselves from getting blasted into bits or else I would have been rolling on the floor, laughing it up. "Err, no. Kiezas is only a believer, not a priest. But yeah, the guy hates Syen's guts since... I don't know, 15 years ago?"

"What did he do?"

What did he do?! For a sly old man like Syen, expect the unexpected. "That's see, stole his wife, 'accidently' slaughter his two sons, and blew up his largest airship...oh yeah, lots of hatred going on there."

She winced and frowned.

Reneus opened up the 3D hologram of the world map and observed it carefully while also dodging incomings. "Sit tight, it's going to be a bumpy ride."

They crash landed into a thick forest.

The duo stumbled out and looked at their surroundings. "Smart, now we're in the middle of nowhere," Siane said accusingly.

Reneus sighed loudly to make his annoyance clear then glanced up into the sky. "The coast is clear...for now. But they'll find soon, so we have to move fast."

Siane nodded and followed him into a clearing with exactly 47 grave marks. Reneus bent down and read a tombstone aloud, " 'Teia Nox'. I wonder what happened and when she died, the stone doesn't say anything else... "

Siane bent down and picked up an arrow, "Maybe the owner of this will know what happened." He took it from her and examined the weapon closely. The arrow has nothing engraved in it and it's made of wood, so it can't be of royal or noble descent.

As he ponder this thought, a fire started in a faraway villlage.

{Yes, yes I know Reneus is now in Celeus, but it's only going to be a little while, but I'll continue posting here so I won't confuse people @_@}

"FIRE!!" Siane screamed so loud that her voice echoed. Reneus's mind went blank and rush to her side to see it for himself. His eyes went from the running villagers and the violent attackers to the lone girl on the hill.

She was wearing red, with black hair and red highlights to match her clothes. He was just beginning to wonder why she was there when the girl expertly held up her bow and arrow and sniped the man directly in front of her with a nice placed shot in the head.

"Whoa," Siane saw it too and was frowning at the forming crowd around the dead man. The others soon found where the sniper was and pointed their weapons at her and charged.

Reneus immediately ran past Siane. "Where are you going?" She asked with a puzzled look.

He turned around with a giant grin.

"To save the day."

Aelic sat in the seat right of Trenna. Kearn was to her left. Aelic sighed and drummed his fingers against the armrest. The flight to Amethest had been a slow one. The flight was delayed due to bad weather a couple of hours.

Trenna had one hand in her lap and the other grasping the armrest. Her head was lowered as she stared at her knees. Aelic lightly put his hand on hers. She gave him a sideways glance. He smiled warmly and said, "It'll be okay." She smiled back at him. "I know."

"Now approaching Aphrodite, Weine, Amethest." The intercom beeped as the woman hung up.

"Best bit of news I've heard since I got on this ship." Kearn said. Aelic rolled his eyes at his friend.

The airship came to a stop at the large airport. Aelic, Trenna, and Kearn walked off with a few other people as well.

"So where exactly are we going Aelic?" Kearn asked. "We're going to...see the sites. But first we need a place to stay for the night." Aelic responded.

"Aelic?" a woman with dark hair asked. She approached him, a man came up behind her. "Yes?" Aelic asked. The woman and the man behind her were supposed to help with the bombing. At least that's what Tegatus Rickards said.

"I'm Naline and this is Cerstin," she pointed to the man, "Tegatus Rickards told us we're supposed to work together. I thought I'd introduce ourselves." Aelic smiled. "Thank you, Naline. I am Aelic, this is Trenna and Kearn." Naline turned toward Trenna and Kearn. "It's a pleasure."

Naline turned around and began to walk away. Aelic gave her a quizzical look. She said, "We need a place to stay for the night. Isn't that you're plan?" Aelic nodded then followed her. Trenna and Kearn followed silently behind him.

"I think we're getting into something we shouldn't." Kearn muttered in Trenna's ear as they walked toward the city.

After the short battle, Reneus watched the men scramble away, making pathetic noises as they ran for dear life. As he turned, he saw Siane talking to a little girl, which he assumed to be her sister dued to the similarities to facial expressions.

He looked at the black haired female who is named Aeluna according to Siane's little sister Reilee. She showed no expression whatsoever and when their eyes met, he saw sadness, loneliness and perhaps hate.

No sooner was the introductions complete did Siane announced the fact that she was staying here with her sister and that she thinks Reneus should return to Amethest. He saw a hint of surprise on Aeluna's face, and in a split second, the expression was wiped clean.

He knew he had no business here so casually, he summoned his ship and began to enter it. "Can I come with you?" Aeluna was suddenly beside him, making him jump backwards out of shock. When the question finally sank in, he gave a nervous smile, "Sure, but...errr... why do you want to go?"

She ignored him and simply walked aboard.
