Default Brigde Collasped In Minneapolis

A Bridge collapsed over the Mississippi river in Minneapolis. There is almost no details at the moment, except that a a full bus of kids almost went down with the bridge.

Oh I just heard about this. It's reported that there was a body being pulled from the area covered with a blue sheet. That's not cool.

Well, so far there has been four dead and a lot more injured. They suspect 30 or 40 cars fell with the bridge.

I have not heard that much more on it.

All of this happened because 2 years ago they inspected the bridge and said it wasn't safe enough, but they wait until now to actually try and fix it. And just when they go to fix it...it collapses.

i heard it was 6 years , there was rust and all sorts of wrong things with it . also there was 6 reported dead so far and i think all the school bus occupants survived, truly a miracle. but yeah it was pretty impressive to see a pic of , the whole bridge collapsed..

This is just an example of where America's priorities are.

I heard theres a pretty large percentage of bridges in the U.S. which were reported as being in a similar condition as the Minneapolis one. Bringing them all up to code can't be too difficult.

Yeah. There are tons of bridges like that. And what's funny is that some of the older ones, like a century old, are better built and standing longer than the more recent ones. But what're we doing? Nothing! Of course.

Kit, your pretty informed.

Most of the older bridges were built to a higher standard. I was not about cost or time, but quality.
