I just watched the first episode and it was pretty cool, I love the concept and art style and the part where he finishes off all those people with orchestrated music was pretty epic

I heard that the episodes after the 25th aren't very good, should I just stop at the 25th?

The series definitely starts going downhill after epy 25 (not telling cuz of mega spoilerz), but I recommend you keep watching if you want to know how it all ends.

My policy on anime is to watch 1 new episode a day, that way it wont end so fast.

yeah its 37 but if you include the special that aired in japan, its 38. damn specials. but i heard its from ryuks perspective from the beginning to the end which is pretty cool.
