Who's ready to form an angry mob? Today, Square-Enix America released their E3 2007 line up including many of their leading titles. However Final Fantasy XIII, Versus or any other mention of the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation are left out. Hopes of a new FFXIII trailer seem to be out the window.
This news was brought up a few days ago by a 1up.com podcast but without, what looked like any proof. It seems they were right. However, Final Fantasy XIII was never listed on their lineup before 2006's E3 either. Although, that was most likely because they were announcing it there. There is the possibility that FFXIII could appear in Sony's key note presentation like last E3 but unless it does, it looks like we're in for another long wait to see some new footage.
Meh, just seems like for E3 this year their trying to "big-up" their games for the handheld consoles. Im sure we will see something at some point this year. As seeing as the game is meant to be released next year, footage, official or leaked is enevitable.
But that isn't the reason I mentioned. It makes money, it does the job system justice, and it gets all its ideas stolen by the Fabula Nova Crystallis project. It has to be good.
Everyone knows your opinion doesn't count though so it's alright.
I wonder what hidden games they have. Since the press-release doesn't count announced projects and what Sony and Nintendo may show at their conferences.
edit: Last year E3

Then during E3 announced:

Final Fantasy XIII Agito
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
Dirge of Cerberus: Lost Episode
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
Luckily, Ratchet & Clank Future will still be there, that's the most important to me for the moment.

Thats cos you lot see me with my clothes on, trust me if they were off YOU WOULD COUNT MY OPINION AS TOP.
I'm sticking to the hope that FNC trailers will be previewed during the show like last year too. I really don't see the point of excluding them from the list though. Surely hype is better than disappointment followed by surprise?
Hashimoto: Because "Fabula Nova Crystallis" is connected to the PS3 hardware which will be on sale by then, expect more news at next years E3.
Quote: Kitase: There are two PS3 titles and one mobile phone title for now. Of course I want to extend it to other hardwares as well. The entire plan for the series is large and I want to talk much more about it. Unfortunately you will have to look forward to new year's E3 for more, I promise there will be major announcements then.
Quote: Toriyama: That will be saved for next year's E3.
That's what I believe. They all confirmed FFXIII would be attending the next E3 and they must have something prepared to show off. I doubt last years promise of a demo being playable is possible but they could have a live demo like Lost Odyssey.
Of course. I'm waiting for Assassins Creed and MGS4 at the moment. XIII and Versus are the games I ultimately want but a release date anytime soon isn't gonna happen . Well E3 was great, still a good show without FFXIII .
