Despite that, I still have to stress the background information I provided in the other sticky thread. It's important to read it! It looks like a lot of information, but I've specified certain areas that are a MUST read.
Perhaps I've been a bit too idealistic by expecting everyone to read that much, but I've reduced the necessary areas to an acceptable amount.
Feel free to create character profiles that are as exotic or far fetched as possible. I've left quite an amount of empty spots in the information provided - spots like Governors, Monarchs, Advisors, etc. that can be filled if you want to take them.
I've received a wealth of pms concerning how exactly does this or that work. I'm trying to explain as clearly as possible how the many aspects work, but I realize that the original confusion is really my fault.
I'm honestly having some doubts about this roleplay, but I'm still going to try and pull it through. The most definite cause behind the wealth of pms is because I think I'm expecting a bit too much - I've written a ridiculous amount of information, and I'm expecting a ridiculous amount of understanding.
With that in mind, I think it's a bit too late to withdraw all that background information that I'm expecting you guys to read and understand. But if the roleplay were to continue with all the confusion, it'd be quite a chaos hole.
For now, do you mind if we postpone the actual roleplaying and character signups until we understand exactly what this or that means?
Feel free to ask as many questions - or you can get mad at me if you want because it's honestly my fault - until we get this settled.
As the majority of the questions seem to be directed at how Soul Siphons work, I'll provide my own character, Soren, as an example.
Quote:
Allegiance: The Red Unity, specifically from Extence, Vermilia. Name: Soren Vaughn Gender: Male Age: 19 Soul Siphon/Primary Weapon: 1) Calligrapher's Brush, aptly named Silas after the pine wood that it's created of. The shaft, flexible but durable, is about a foot long; the end is finished with a long, horse hair brush. 2) Calligrapher's Ink. Thick, almost paint-like ink is protected by several thick glass bottles. The jet black fluid is composed of a black pigment mixed with Soren's own blood; a thickening chemical is added to the mixture, lenghening the life of the fluid while ensuring its consistency. Secondary Weapons: Summon Cards, a deck of paper sheets embroidered with the Calligrapher's Ink. Different words composed with Chinese characters are elegantly noted on the pieces of paper. Area of Special Ability: Practically defenseless against close range attacks, Soren is suited for long range, short lasting, and self-protected barrages. By using Silas in conjunction with the Calligrapher's Ink, Soren can manipulate the ink into a variety of different matter/energies - including fire, lightning, and kinetic energy - simply by writing the name of the matter/energy on a surface. The process is strenuous and energy consumptive. Through the use of the Summon Cards, however, less energy is required as the manifestation of matter/energy only requires an activation order.
As provided, the Calligrapher's Brush and the Calligrapher's Ink are both examples of Soul Siphons. The ink, however, is just an aesthetic addition.
If you want to relate antimatter vaguely to chakra in Naruto, the characters in Naruto use chakra - like our antimatter - to convert it into fire, or water, or wind, etc. It's not magic, it's simply a teachable human ability in the Naruto Universe.
I read in the info sheets you've written that the Earth was engulfed by "it's Light". Do you mean the Earth was engulfed by the sun or something? Just want to check.
The character signups are going great You guys can start roleplaying if you would like to; go ahead and start creating some background info on the situation your character is in now. As soon as we get a couple more players to join up, I'll start up the main plot details.
I don't think eventually there will be enough players as I had originally hoped, so I'll try and fill in some more spots. You guys can create more than one character if you like *wink wink*.
Wont setting up the main plot attract more players? Why don't you just start it already? O_o You don't need that many people. We never used to have that many on FFG.
What I mean by 'main plot' - I'm not going to explicitly and blatantly say "This guy is the bad guy, so all the good guys go and attack him." Rather, the integration of the main storyline will be subtle, tying in with the formation of other players' storylines.
Okay. I'll do that. I've been a bit reluctant since the beginning of the roleplay; I felt instantaneously after I created it that maybe it was a mistake.
Plot! Let's go!
EDIT: You guys can start roleplaying now as I've done in Extence, Vermilia. Make up a setting for you character: what kind of jobs he does, what kind of personality he has, etc - things that haven't been made known in the restrictive character signup sheet.

If your character is in a different area, then yes.
For example, if Roleplayer A has a character in City A, Vermilia - and creates a thread named City A, Vermilia - then Roleplayer B, who also has a character in City A, Vermilia, does not need to make a new thread.

EDIT: Btw, Fearless. Nice character profile ^^
I changed my profile like three times already I think I'm going for a fourth lol
