This month’s newest issue of GameInformer features an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, director of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. While the interview was predominantly about the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3D, Nomura did have some words for Versus fans eagerly anticipating more news about the title.
“We would like to ask for your patience on an official announcement for this title. It always takes time when tackling the challenge of doing something completely new, but we are doing our best to bring information to the fans as quickly as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.”
Originally announced in 2006 for Japan, Final Fantasy Versus XIII development is now underway by Square Enix’s 1st Production Department. It should be noted however, that the game was absent from Square Enix’s E3 2012 lineup via IGN.
This would make Tokyo Game Show 2012 the most likely venue for Square Enix to blow the lid off Versus information.
i was already in my senior year in high school when this game was announced. I'm already working and still, no Versus. lolroflz. might as well wait until i get married, give birth and have great great grandkids.

It's weird for there not to be a Final Fantasy coming up with a defined release window, aside from Theatrhythm. I'm telling you, if Type-0 isn't at E3 I will cry.
Those guys must be pretty ignorant, really! Are they pretending not to listen to fans?? They came out with some promise to remaster FF X (something that a lot of fans accepted with opened arms) and we haven't heard about that game ever since, then they make Type-0 a Japan-only game, saying that they are "working on" a western release, but nothing's been heard about that either, and lastly we have the parody of Versus, which was announced 6 (!) years ago but has become a ghost of a game for almost a year and a half! Instead of delivering these much anticipated titles, they keep coming up with some bogus theatrythm, ff xiv crap that no one even cares about or wants! Seriously, what are they on?!
