In case you haven't noticed, I'm a Bryan K. Vaughan fanboy and I really love everything of his that I've read thus far. He's responsible for Runaways, Deus Ex, Pride of Baghdad, and Saga (which I plan to read very soon).
Y:TLM and Runaways are in my top 5 comics ever.

Speaking of Runaways, my order of volume two is currently in Jersey City, New Jersey. I'm scared I'm going to get some kind of disease when it arrives.
Seriously, you don't have to be a Bat/Cat fan or even a Selina-World's-Coolest-Mother fan, but 'ew' directed at anything other than the art is best reserved for pre-pubescents.

Whiplash, what do I need to know about this new Justice League title? Is it going to be good? Are the characters interesting? So far, I'm only in it for Selina.
I don't know anything about it, but man fuck Selina being in it. She's not a superhero team joining kinda gal and, if this is in continuity with Catwoman, she's still only interested in thieving! If they wanted an edgy Batfamily member to be in it (because you can't have a Justice League without a bat), what about Helena Bertinellooooo no, you burnt that bridge DC. Well what about Azrael? Mentally unstable, good at combat, etc. What? He probably doesn't exist either? Well what about Batwoman then, she exists and she's a Batfamily outsider? ... already working for another special organisation.

Yeah it seemed like a really bizarre choice to me too, but apparently that'll be reflected in the plot.
Quote:
Why she's on a heroic team isn't clear yet, but Johns has said that it's because Steve Trevor has something she wants, "and it’s not at all what you’d expect. It’s not a big diamond, it’s not a get out of jail free card, it’s something she’s been searching for that’s going to lead to a whole exploration of a side of Selina Kyle we haven’t yet seen," Johns said.
I'm not sure. I'm usually totally opposed to the whole superhero supergroup approach (most likely my deeply-rooted dislike of the Avengers rising to surface) but for whatever reason this feels different. I suppose it's mainly because I've just been enjoying Catwoman so much. I reckon I'll give if it a shot. If I hate it, then the solo series still functions as a standalone doesn't it? I'm so over crossovers.
DC have done it again, the Black Canary we've all known and loved for god knows how many years has been retconned out of existence. In her place we have her mother, the original Black Canary (contemporaries include Jay Garrett and Alan Scott to give you an idea of how far back we have to go). Goodbye Dinah Lance, daughter of a superhero and a cop who once refused to speak for months after accidentally temporarily deafening her year 1 class. Hello Dinah Drake.
The only question I have is why? If you want this to be the first generation of heroes (which makes no sense), why not just retcon Drake out of existence? Why ditch the canary your readers know and the general public are more likely to be familiar with (last seen as Green Arrow's on again off again) for her mother? Although, knowing you, you're just going to make it even MORE confusing by hooking her up with Green Arrow anyway. You know, when it wouldn't make them seem too old.

Well with Black Canary, Huntress and two Batgirls now in 'non-existent land', they can form their own Birds of Prey unit and fight all the crime that doesn't exist yet.
And in our on-going series 'The Rebooted Batman Timeline Makes No Sense', either Damien has gained the gift of prophecy in his power set or Talia has fed him growth hormones because he's 10 and Batman's only been around for 5 years, but he managed to do this:
