The trailer's presentation made me laugh. IDK why...
All joking aside, the mechanics do look more fun this time around. Wish they would've shown the whole leader-change feature.
Ugh, they should've in the first place, it's one of the major changes after all. That would've shut up all the people who despite being clueless on the new gameplay mechanics they would still moan on how they can't control the whole party blablablablabla. They should have emphasized all of the changes (paradigm tune, feral link, etc.) because everyone seems to only look at the auto battle button.

To sum it all up, people are dumb and feel the need to troll things they don't like instead of focusing on things they do like. At the end of the day, their opinions fall on deaf ears so it doesn't really matter.
and people are still surprised by auto battle? I can't help them if they don't realize the combat is about choosing role set ups over choosing direct attacks.

EXACTLY. XIII as a whole focused more on changing the flow of battle, rather than focusing on individual attacks themselves. Then again, you can't forget that 90% of the fans are all fucking idiots, with brains the size of a peanut at best. Can't expect too much of them.
The trailer could have done a way better job of explaining the enhancements though, there's a lot more than just changing the paradigm instantly and QTE's.
but I liked how the blitz animation changed when Noel used it on an airborne enemy, it makes the transforming weapons thing seem cooler.

Exactly.
Also, I hope I wasn't the only one going "u go girl" at Serah's cinematic action sequence.
I find the comment on XIII not being Final Fantasy funny. XIII isn't the first game to use an atb system. It is just on a 5 to 1 ratio rather than 1 to 1. I'll admit that I would have liked to see more choices of character unique skills and a wider selection of spells.
Most old school fans just make the comment on turn based only being Final Fantasy. When in reality they just want big explorable overworld maps, airships, esper/materia, and the heavy individual micro managment aspect. That's the only big difference between FF 1-9 and the newer ones.
I like both the older ones and the new ones. I guess some dogs just don't like change. It just bothers me how a vocal minority says the FF ip is dying since FF9. When it is actually selling just as well. Seriously, if they feel SE is pulling the wool over their eyes. Why keep buying the games and constantly whining it isn't FInal Fantasy?
Judging by what SE said, there will be more of these videos detailing each system up until release. Should've just done it like one big trailer detailing the systems. Oh, well.
