Why would you start over? Just grind until you're satisfied with your characters. Also if you could upgrade their accessories (I found weapons not worth the money spent to upgrade them until the end of the game).

Honestly I havent really upgraded that my accessories, because I usually end up finding better ones as i go on. But seriously, just grind the hell out of wherever you are stuck and it will make it super easy.

Man don't star over. Really. I made that mistake and I regret it. I did that, because I wanted the Treasure Hunter so I started all over again. Just grind your characters and, from this point forward do NOT sell anything. Once you sell chances are is an accesory you won't be able to find. The tunnels are a good place to grind. I am there right now and it has done wonders

Tbh, in my opinion it IS worth spending at least a little bit of time and cash on upgrading weapons you think will be of good use. For example Fang`s Taming Pole is worth upgrading early if thats the weapon you are gonna give her. It`s the strongest weapon in the game for Fang and by upgrading as much as u can (or want) will certainly help when it comes to defeating enemies.

On my second playthrough, once I knew which weapons i`d be using for certain characters (Light, Hope and eventually Fang) I started relatively early to upgrade weapons. Once i did this (that coupled with power levelling for cp) I could generally stay ahead of the difficulty curve. In Ma`habara I was able to max out Light and Hopes weapons (Gladius and Vidnofir) with Fang`s Weapon (Taming pole) close to being maxed. But it`s a matter of opinion. I do also upgrade accessories that I deem relevant but for me upgrading weapons as early as possible can help cut the difficulty curve a bit.
