June 5, 2007 - Looking for more Final Fantasy following the Xbox 360 port of Final Fantasy XI? Then you're going to have to look to a different next generation system. A Square Enix executive has disclosed to Japan's Nikkei BP that the company currently has no plans for Final Fantasy games on the 360.
Noting that the PS3 is getting Final Fantasy XIII, the website asked Square Enix's Shinji Hashimoto if the Wii or Xbox 360 will also be getting games in the series. "For the Wii, we have FF Crystal Chronicles in production," replied Hashimoto. "As for FF on the Xbox 360, it's currently a completely blank page."
Strong words from Hashimoto, although perhaps if everyone goes out and buys Last Remnant (that includes you!), Square Enix will have a change of heart.
This doesn't affect me because I get every system (you be crazy not too) but for everyone take it as you will. I can hear the cheering and curses already so I'll just go look up some FFXI update news.

They're making The Last Remnant for 360 and PS3
I just read this on N4G and I think I'm gonna post it as news. It a) Proves no 360 port of XIII is in development and b) that no other unannounced games in the compilation are being made for 360 so far.
I dislike the Xbox because theyre ruining the gaming market. It used to be just Sony and Nintendo but Microsoft had to screw everything up.
And about the Sony fanboys, you guys are just as bad, if not worse. I mean seriously, all you guys to is troll the FF13 boards and MGS4 boards saying "THIS WILL BE PORTED" and more retarded ish. You guys can have Gears of War and Halo. Let us have our games.

Sorry but it isn't a 360 forum so you have to expect it. The 360 is fine for me but the desperation of some of the Xbox fanboys for FFXIII to appear on 360 is so annoying. They base their facts on Capcom porting DMC4. You'll notice I posted that it is possible they could develop other titles in the future but they have none planned yet on the front page to.

are you referering to ME as an xbox fanboy by that "you guys" ? NO.. ive been here for quite a while and many of you guys know i own and love the xbox 360, but i have NOT been here trolling and going "BS3 SUCKS BALLZZ" and suck nonesense.. i have been here supporting FF13 , a PS3 exclusive game
can people have some respect? arent we all gamers? cant we just enjoy w/e console we choose to purchase? apart from failure issues, the xbox 360 is an awesome machine with so much to do play and enjoy. i dont own a PS3 right now because i dont feel the urge to purchase one, im not saying its a bad system, its pretty awesome, but it just needs MY kind of games (that be FF and DOA) and it doesnt have FF yet. im not fanboy, i am a GAMER with his PREFERENCES. with time i will purchase my ps3 and love it too

No the PS2 didn't start off slow, nor did the 360. They could have started off better but had supply problems.

LOL! I'm sorry but even though I'm a PS3 fan a lot of that is pretty flawed. I don't think Xion has control over 360 fanboys XD If he does let's make a peace treaty. The PS2 also sold out everywhere...mostly because of shortages but it still did extremely well and so did the 360. No doubting it though the PS3 will catch up 2008
Don't worry I don't think you're a fanboy Xion People do get caught up in the console wars far to much and it does piss me off when a 360 fan posts on a PS3 YouTube video that it's failing. I have to say though it is pretty nice completely owning the extreme xbox fans who wanted FFXIII with this news . Like you say it's all about preferences.

I nearly bought a 360 but the amount of break downs i see is pathetic.
Anyway on the topic im glad they've finally said something and im glad its probably not going to be ported. We all know that ports take the quality down LOADS.
I advise everyone to stay away from the Gamespot forums cause thats the worst place to post anything concerning games and consoles.

That is bullshit, Sony needs every good freaking game it can get is greedy hands on at the moment. Especially since FFXIII is not coming out this year...
