I was pretty much content with the original system; I'd like them to fix how you can just keep hitting auto-attack for the entire game and not have much of an issue.

Yes, to that effect, making the menu quicker and easier to navigate would be a big step in the right direction to removing auto-battle. I'm not sure exactly how they could achieve this; for the type of battle-system they have, a menu seems to be the only option, and yet also a very cumbersome way to pull it off.

Yeah, I felt like that was a big issue when it came to feeling like you had some sgrategy.
...but then again the battle system would have to have been totally different from what it was because if you think about it, if you had to enter every spell or every attack, the battles would not have been so fast paced and the need for optimas would have been diminished.

Wait has it been confirmed that Lightning is a L'Çie? Cuz i swear they said she lost her powers. I keep seeing ppl say shes still a L'Çie

Yeah, she is. It's been confirmed. Check one of the many threads on this floating around.

From the Famitsu interview:

'As part of the story of the original, Lightning has lost her l'Cie abilities (summons, casting magic, etc.). In response to this observation from Famitsu, Toriyama joked that perhaps Lightning has become an even more incredible existence than a l'Cie.'

So, it's not confirmed whether she is a l'Cie or not.

She may have lost her powers, yes, but that does not mean that she isn't a new type of L'Cie.

srsly, i think Lightning may get some L'cie/Fal'cie powers without actually being a L'cie/Fal'cie.
