I have no say in politics yet, but I do have opinions. And I'd prefer to be independant just because I don't route for one particular group, since I agree and disagree with ideas of all political groups.
I like Tony Blair. I saw a video of him on the news saying it was stupid to rename the game Bully for the UK because the name of a game isn't going to make people want to bully others. I gained some respect for him that day. xD
Politics is a hard job. Every time you come with a suggestion its a ton of discusson and usually nothing happens about it. This is stressfull to always feel that people are working against you. But what many politicians forgets is that its a part of their job.
I in the student console. (or what ever its called in english) And it not easy. Even if its just 3-4 people on a job it takes our time and everybody have to do their part. With a missing link it stops up and we have to force a person to do a job he/she really dont want to do.
When you have around a hundred people doing something and you share tasks and trying to keep control. And then its the arguments you always have to come up with. Its really hard on your brain to do it 24/7.
Before you say politician sux/incompetent/retards I'll suggest you try it yourself. Its not easy to always push yourself forward.

And it f***ing hurts
In england the last tories really messed up the economy. And now Brown is coming into power, hes said he will keep the regime the same except for minor things, but thats what Thatcher said.
I really think that there will never be a perfect government and that some politicians will always be in the system for their own personal gain but there are some on the rare occasion who are really passionate about the country and their job.....
As for democrat or republican, I usually side with the democrats, like now I want Barack to be the next President.....
But I will never totally side with one group because every group has its flaws, so I will never register as one party or another...
I'm siding with Barack too. Hilary Clinton would be okay but people are getting tired of the Clinton administration. Now if one of the two made it to the top rounds as president and then the other was for vice president and they were running together that would make my day. Do you understand what I'm saying?
I've already said I'm republic. The reason why is cause the stuff the Demos do is ridiculously stupid and wrong.
For instance, they wont us to lose the War in Iraq so that it makes the Republicans look bad. Thats just messed up man.
Wait what????I don't know where you got that from, but I do know that's not true. I know many people who are democrat and they don't think that way. Maybe some people do, but then it's only them. And not everything democrats do is stupid and wrong too. Neither are republicans. Both groups, even the Independents, have thier rights and wrongs and make thier own mistakes.
And the war in Iraq...well no one wants to lose the war. Basically people are just thinking "Why are we even in there? We were told that we were going in there because of weapons of mass destruction. And no we're over there for what reason? To look like we're actually doing something when we're not?"
I don't have any strong opinions on politics...but I DO know something that in my country all the politicians want to steal the money from the country and nothing more than that..and I dislike my president and a lot!

I agreed with the 1st paragraph. I just think that people in America have become soft. If we pull out now, everything will fall right back to shambles....and we will be exactly where we were before the war began. All of those who have died would have lost their lives for nothing. September 11 had its warning signs that we simply chose to ignore. Then we had Sadaam basically bragging about having weapons of mass destruction and threatening to use them on the U.S. After watching the horrific events unfold on our own soil, is another 4,000+ American lives worth risking?
I understand that Americans want peace. As Americans, I think some of us believe that we should worry about our own affairs and leave the rest of the world alone. People seem to forget that we've tried isolation before.....hence Pearl Harbor...... War isn't a game. Our soldiers aren't factory workers. They are brave men and women that enlist in the military to protect their country. In war, people die. Our soldiers are brave individuals willing to sacrifice themselves to keep another event like Sept. 11 from ever happening again. Instead of talking about the good being done overseas, the media always talks about another soldier dying.
As a country, I believe that most of us don't agree with the War on Terrorism because the majority of us have not felt its wrath first-hand. I think that if we turn away from the events of the world.....something far worse is coming. Its not as scary when its always big cities like the capital D.C., New York, Chicago, L.A., Atlanta.......no.....its when terrorism starts to threaten our smaller cities. The suicide bombings in grocery stores of small towns around the U.S. The car bombings......the elementary school bombings. The U.S. is not immune to any of this. Every great civilization has fallen. Why would we blindly look the other way when there are those out there willing to do anything to kill us. There is no peace or talking it out. There are some people out there that just want us to die.
History tells us that one day the U.S. will indeed fall for the next superpower to take its place....I'm just praying that I'm not around to see that day....I think its beginning though....and I believe that like most superpowers that fall....we will be the ones to blame for the inevitable.
I'm sorry for shifting the focus from strictly politics.....but I figured the War on Terrorism has alot to do with the upcoming elections....o well....thats off my chest lol....

The next superpower is probably China, the 'war on terror' (which as a concept makes no sense, its like saying lets have a war on anger... call it war on terrorism and stop using doublespeask) is just a distraction right now.
China's economy has grown so fast its crazy, usually they'd have crashed right about now but because of thier strange mix of interventionist state polocies and foregin investment they've avoided all the traps. it'll probablky take a generation or two but Chinas gonna be the next superpower. Though unless something unexpected happens America will still hold sway. You'll just go from being the only hyperpower to one of two superpowers.
Politically I don't really have a party I agree with but ecnomically I'm very against crazy neoliberalism and for the nationilisation of all public services (Here in the UK we still have free health care but they seem to be intent on privatising it through the back door). Socially I'm very left wing (though left and right don't mean much anymore).
I don't have any strong opinions on politics...but I DO know something that in my country all the politicians want to steal the money from the country and nothing more than that..and I dislike my president and a lot!
Oh ho, if you see the politics in Taiwan, you'd be glad America is the way it is The people are DROOLING over politics and they fight and argue with family because of it. And WTH?! They burn down the president's house and went on strikes the entire year of 2005!
