So I was talking to my friend the other day and she was like: "I don't understand how people can fancy a video games character. I mean, they're not even real people!!" Anyway, she reckons that such people are sad reclusive little nerds with nothing better to do than wank away the evening infront of their games console.
What do you think?
Is finding a video games character "hot" a bit weird or just a bit of fun?
Is it how a character looks, behaves, the size of it's bangers (Lara Croft anyone?) or is it just a creation of an ultimate fantasy person for some people???
It's almost like saying, why should you find a celebrity hot, you'll never be able to have sex with them.
Which is fairly in the same context as this. It's fantasy and desire, it's physical and emotional traits of a character that people find attractive.
These characters are given life through their developers and of course will not be unattractive wank stains unless the developers want them to be.
It's all about appeal towards the market and what the consumers (kinda) want and expect from a character.
They're designed to be attractive and most gamers are young and hormonally-charged enough that they think about sex and who/what they could have it with an awful lot.

And if you tried to have sex with a celebrity you'd wind up sharing a cramped cell having sex with White Power Bill. This is why we have masturbation and an imagination.

*Sighs, hand on forehead* Its called cosplaying, people; it what brings "life" to fictional game characters via human bodies(and clearly same goes for anime characters). Its kind of the "link" between game characters and actual humans. Console fornication...? (the f***?). I know people love their systems, but...ah whatever, its probably been done countless times. *Shrugs*
I'd use the term "visually appealing" when referring to unreal characters myself.

Ohh thanks for enlightening us all.
I hope you didn't slap your hand on your forehead too violently because you might suffer from brain damage, skin cancer and/or halitosis.

Or maybe it's just people having fun interpreting a character and wearing funny clothes?
Whiplash- There are people you'd label as "attractive", you know; THOSE would fit better into cosplay. Out of those...that console better take it like a champ.
No, no I didn't, 2-2, thanks for careing, dear.
So? people can have "fun" with people having fun wearing funny clothes.
My POINT was...you can't f*** a fictional character, so the closest thing you DO have, is a person representing that character to the best of their ability; and trying to have decent sex appeal. Gah, damn me and trying to explain myself.
