News on next KH

Tetsuya Nomura recently explained what he meant about the next game not being Kingdom Hearts III, in that it would be a sort of side story, and that he wants to use it to explain what Mickey did in the World of Darkness, and how he got his keyblade, and that he wants the system to be a little different from the rest of the Kingdom Hearts series. He also stated that it would be a portable game, but that they haven't decided if it will be for the PSP, DS, or mobile phones yet.

And, just to put it out there, a few months ago (give or take), Tetsuya Nomura gave an interview to Disney Adventure Magazine in which he said that he wanted to look into doing the next KH game for the PSP, after they finish up with Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-.


Personally, my guess is that it'll be the PSP. With Square-Enix planning on having four Final Fantasy games out for the PSP by the end of summer, they'll have pretty effectively buttered up the PSP market for more Square games. It's hard for me to fathom them not relasing more big titles for the PSP after CCFF7.

Of course, there is the fact that the DS is popular and easier to develop for, and of course, the fact that Square-Enix currently has more games in development for mobile phones than they do for just about everything else put together.

It would be nice on the PSP.

Well, it's cool how they're coming out with more and more games for Kingodm Hearts, but if they've had the games on Playstation 2 then they should still keep it on Playstation 2. That's the only problem with Square Enix. They always change which console a game of a series should be on when everyone doesn't have all of these consoles.

I agree that the new KH should be on the PS2 console, since not much people, including me, don't own a PS3 or PSP

If they sell enough copies of Crisis Core, FF1 & 2 then yeah I could see it on PSP. But if some of those bombs they may want to back off and release on DS especially if Nomura's other game "Wonderful World" does well.

i totally agree with Lucrecia and XxFeaRLeSsxX. the series should stay on the PS2. i mean, seeing as which the KH series is a big success it should stay.

If they do make another one is not going to be for PS2 I dont think.

We're on the same side. I don't own those consoles either. I'm fine with a Playstation 2.

i dont have a ps3 nor psp nor ds
but i dont want the series to keep on ps2...its good when it changes plataforms because it changes many aspects of the game(maybe not always for better XD but anyway..)

i vote for PSP!!! i dont own one it but i like it!!

I think it would be awsome if it came out for the PSP.
But if were talking about sales here it would do way better on the PS2.
But if it came out for the DS I'm curious to know what the game play on it would be like.
