People dont understand you because youre typing like a moron
I never gave this game a chance because we just laughed at it. Played it once and up to some part where the resort got attacked. It could be a good game so im gonna have to play it again sometime.
Wow that's like the very first part. oh well I thought it was an okay game. I think they put to much stuff in it, it gets kind of annoying sometimes. And recently I have tried to play the game again w/o putting my weapons on about 10 Orichalcums (+500 attack for each one) and it's gettin kinda hard.
Yeah, I heard its really easy once you upgrade your weapons. It does feel like cheating when its so easy typed this all on a PSP btw
Finally i'm not the only one! about 65% of my posts are on a PSP, even the long ones. And I don't gave a good typing memory, hence the lack of smilies.
Oh god I could never type on a cell phone. Those tiny buttons, pressing them over and over again. I mean typing on a PSP hurts sometimes but I could never imagine doing it on a cell phone.
I started playing the game again and I finally got over my low level hump. I beat the game and got the Fayt + Maria ending. I think it was better than the Fayt + Sophia ending. But nobody here probably knows what i'm talking about.
I really enjoyed this game until Disc 2, the space dragons came and the game turns into an evil twist of The Matrix and some 1970's budget Sci-Fi. As someone previously said, you could invent this rare white gem (forgot the name) which ups you attack by +500. Put 4 on Cliff's weapon and hit Heavy Attack, whoop thats around 320000hp, thus yes you ruined the game.
People make whole FAQs and rules to restrict them from making the game to easy, which is plain ridicolous.
This was the first (and only) Star Ocean game I have played (and probably will play), I just thought it was.. well the story killed me.
OH OH and that Circus Girl you get 3/4 though the game, and shes level 1! What... the... hell!

I am getting bored with the things you can do after you beat the game. All those bosses are really hard. And I'm at level 212. It's getting ridiculous. Level 100 should be the cap. But no, as far as I know the cap is at 255. Again, Ridiculous.
Yeah I agree. I like games which have clear subquests and difficult bosses (such as Wild ARMs) but games like Star Ocean and most noticably FFX took it to an extreme.
FFX had no levels, just the impossible aim on wiping the nodes and replace every one with a +4 point just to beat some hashed up bonus bosses (the Aoens) whos only change was that they glowed blackish.. oh and destroyed your party in 4 turns. Penance.. phhf excuse to lengthen a game.
But back to Star Ocean, I did enjoy how they have sub-dungeons which where aimed at certain levels, not just at the end of the game after stupid amounts of training.
I looooved the game...until it got to disk 2. I was like, " WTF!?" They could have done ANYTHING!!!! But no, they think of the most stupid of things to do. I was pretty interested in the game until it turned for the worse.
And...I guess I got the Fayt and Sophia ending...but it sucked o_O If only 2 seconds of them talking is the Fayt and Sophia ending...then yeah, that's what I got
I bought Star Ocean 3 not long after it came out, and was well surprised with what a well put together game it was.
After my bad experiences with loads of rpg's over the years (except of course the final fantasy series) I was very relieved to be abl to find such a good game, although towards the end the story did start to get a bit crap imo, I still managed to make myself go through the finla dungeon and then spend hours and hours doing the secret dungeons when I'd finished it
