Looks like it's started airing. I'm pretty sure it's a different trailer to the US one, since the Lightning image wasn't formed, although they still used My Hands.
Like with the US Commercial, it was only advertised for the 360.
I'm not sure if it's on Youtube or not already but I'll give it a look.

Sounds cheesy but I love watching TV and being surprised by an ad for a video game I really want. I can have the ads saved on my computer, watch them anytime on youtube or whatever, but man when I see them on TV I'm like WOOOOOOOOOOOT!

That doesn't mean that Sony shouldn't try to market it at all. I think it would be stupid not to show some commercials. Not everyone is a final fantasy addict like us. Some people still might not know much about the franchise and might want to buy this, but they need to be exposed to it.
That's how I got started on tons of franchises.

MS probably paid for the advertising. Not that it will do much. Sony's had exclusive ads for multiplat games recently and didn't really help them. In the age of the Internet, people tend to see a lot more information on various websites than on TV.
Yeah, most PS3 owners already know about FF13, or FF fans already have a Ps3 because they know the upcoming games will be on Ps3 mostly (probably). Wait, no, I've confused myself here. What I meant to say is that a lot of people still think it's Ps3 exclusive, so they already know that, so the ads have to tell them it's for 360 too. It doesn't really matter for ps3 owners because if you have a ps3 you should know about FF so they don't need to be advertised too. And since most of the 360 owner don't give a crap about Final Fantasy, they're the ones that need the most attention if Square Enix wants to truly widen the fanbase.
I was tricked into buying a 360. My friends (those fps/tps fans) told me the 360 was better, then my mother told me I already had a Sony system and a Nintendo system, and she thought I needed to widen my console collection (or something like that), so I decided to buy it. I really regret it now an my father said he won't be buying me anymore game systems, so I'm in a rut.
I recommended Lost Odyssey to those friends of mine and they asked me if it had good achievements.
I haven't seen it fully myself yet. Caught it halfway through again on ITV4 last night and squealed like a bitch. Tried finding it again but it didn't come back on.
