Credit to salty from khinsider- Interesting news today, rumors have been circulating around the community about the next Kingdom Hearts title, supposedly as a follow up to Birth by Sleep's secret ending. The game, originally believed to be titled Kingdom Hearts: Deep Dive, is now referred to by an anonymous forum poster as Kingdom Hearts: Another Dive. A url referring to the game has surfaced, however, the page does not go anywhere. Tomogirl has translated some additional information on the rumored title, below: This is summary blurb on that particular page... (Possible spoiler? Although, it's not major sounding at this moment.)

Console: Playstation 3
Price: Undecided
Story: This is about a tale coming from a different viewpoint of what happened a part of (or in addition to) the world in which Sora obtained the Keyblade....

I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, but can you all explain to me why people love KH so much? I played the first one and the recently released DS game. I didn't think either was anything to write home about. Never played KH2. Is that the be all/end all that I missed? I thought KH1 was a little too kiddie since I grew out of Disney a while ago, but it wasn't a terrible game, I just got stuck at one point and moved on to something else. Putting up with Goofy and Donald was annoying. The battle system wasn't that intriguing, nor the leveling that satisfying. The worlds were often easy to get lost in if I remember correctly. If they fixed all this later please let me know and I'll play it sometime. KH has a huge following, apparently, and I guess I've just missed out on why that is. Thanks!

Some people are saying the domain was registered ahead of time and no site has been made yet. As happy as this would make me, I'm not getting my hopes up, yet, that's for sure.

Well to me KH has the best story in any game I have ever played. It is so well thought and unlike FF, this is a series of chained events and not a new story every time. The reports and secret endings and the whole game itself just makes you think about things, but the gameplay is awesome, like there area bunch of different keyblades to equip and synthesize and abilities to learn. It is the best Action RPG in my opinion--- hopefully FFVXIII will change my opinion as SE has proven to be a mastermind at story telling and gameplay.

I think it's about the charactes/plot stuff. At first I had that thought too (hey, it's Disney characters. This game should be childish as hell) but when you get to know the characters both from Final Fantasy and Disney you remember their stories and how they made us happy when we were kids (or even when grown ups)
And rpgs are almost all that: the story. I like it o/

After reading the latest Nomura interview about BBS, he mentioned & really put emphasis on the secret movie ending this time. Apparently it's 10 minutes long and has voice overs
Now I'm hyped for BBS and hoping to see if and how it sets up for KH III or whatever this might turn out to be, so long as it's on PS3.

I really just want Riku as a main playable character like in COM because Sora is EDIT-lame and I dont respect him- being the main character, but sometimes its better to see it from a twilight point of view. And the day BBS comes out Im hitting up youtube, sorry this time I cant hold the excitement, plus Ill be playing it day 1 anyway xD

Because you will never see a badass Mickey Mouse outside of KH games. NEVER. Just that is worth playing the games.
And you haven't done the games justice yet. Do play KH2 because that has improved graphics, improved battle systems and the storyline strayed from the kiddie Disney stuff to more complex stuff. So complex that you need to THINK. >>
I think its the nostalgia that attracts so many people to this game.
ya know, considering BBS is about 15 hours PER CHARACTER...i'm assuming Nomura wants to see if having more than one POV for KH will be liked or not (this is speculation) from the famitsu review, since each story is unique, its a success.
In summary...i too hope that based on BBS, Nomura plans on possibly putting KH as a game based upon Sora AND Riku...yeah that would be epic.

Yea Im so excited that this rumoured game is for PS3--- I honestly dont care if its a prequel or another look at the game b/c I know they will pack so much into the game and have the best graphics as can be hehe.

going back and reading the development info for the series made me realize just how hesitant and truly passionate/considerate Nomura if for the series, he seriously put alot of effort in to make sure we the fans/player would love it.
Possible new title?
