Final Fantasy XIII CGI Cutscene downloads (720p)

= 1.Introduction ===============================================

Welcome to the Final Fantasy XIII cutscene thread. This thread contains all cutscenes from the japanese version of the game, therefor the spoken language in all of them is japanese. Since there are different needs for everyone all uploads are available in two different formats.

1. Softsubbed
This means you get japanese audio without any fixed subtitles in the videos. If you want english subtitles you can use the subtitle files that are provided with the uploads, you just need a media player (for example vlc) that supports it. These version is recommend for people that want to use the videos for their own videos or just watch them on their pc with or without subtitles.

2. Hardsubbed
This means you get japanese audio with fixed english subtitles in the videos. There is no way for you to remove them. This version is provided for people that just want to watch a translated version with japanese audio. Also for people that use a system (for example ps3) that can't use the subtitle files.

= 2. Notes & Troubleshooting ===================================

- Use a download manager! It's troublesome to download each file by it's own. Use jdownloader (java based) and just add a list of all files you want to download, this is far more convinient!
- The files have not been zipped in the best way, what this means is that you can't expect to find the first cutscene of a chapter in the first zip file and the last cutscene in the last zip file, sorry for this inconvinience.
- Sometimes files are temporarily not available, just try again or at a later point.
- You got a problem, advice or something to tell? Please leave post in the thread.

Try refreshing, megaupload seems to have some issues and shows the file off/on whenever it likes to. If you know jdownload just download it with that.

You just gotta try, if it doesnt work try 1-2 minutes later. Usually works for me.

Would it be possible to watch a real gameplay footage at 720p or 1080p?? I loved the curscenes... but I was wondering if you could upload something like that!

Dont really plan to, as there is enough HQ footage on youtube for that matter.

I've been looking into Hauppauge HD PVR and Blackmagic Intensity.

The real-time gameplay is made to run in 720p. Unless someone records it and then upscales it, I don't think you'll be finding it in 1080p.

The cutscenes can definitely run in 1080p on the PS3 version.

Um... I feel so bad 'cause I have not played the game and I am so eager to know more that I downloaded a few. LOL. Love them, though! Great great great!

I wish there are more CGI videos with LONGER length. These videos are great, no doubt there, I just find myself in one or two videos being cut off of my jaw-dropping face because the video was less than a minute. I hope the ending give gamers at least 30 minutes. LOL. too much? If only a full-length movie CGI of ffxiii comes out! I guess I have this insatiable craving for more more more more next generation FF CGI videos. SIGH!

Videos running slow on my laptop for some reason. Still, downloading em fast at around 1.4 MB/sec. Much obliged.

What codecs are you guys using? (For Video and Audio).

x264 with 5000bitrate and 3 pass encopding for video
lame mp3 for audio

I am usually using vlc for playback.

However I got ffdshow and the Haali Splitter installed for other things.

edit:

Cutscenes for Chapter 1-4 will have to wait a bit, I gotta finish the game first and then check my saves for capturing those cutscenes again.
