Beg pardon, but there has only been (to Date) only one time where SE gave a fuck about fanservice, and that was shown in the make out scene with the in-closet homosexual Tidus and Yuna. Did we ever see ANY other character EVER get action in ANY FF? No. SE has pulled off this shit for too long.
They better have some grand DLC coming along in the future too, cuz' I want an ultimate enemy to vanquish, a large dungeon (That doesn't go straight forward thank you very much) to crawl through, and hell, I'd LOVE some additional chapters to wrap up the ending into a smoother, more satisfying conclusion. As it stands, it's a downer ending. What could they have done? Show a cutscene of everyone in the future visiting the two crytalized women. Show off the new children and the older characters (Dajh and Hope namely). As it stands, all I get are two great characters dying (Yeah, it's crystalization but what gives? Odds are they'll never meet their friends again if they are even GIVEN the chance to wake up). Plus, Lighting gets her sister back, Snow gets his fiance, Sazh gets his son, Van/Fan save the worthless people of Cacoon instead of leaving for pulse like everyone SHOULD have done. What does Hope get? SHIT.
That's right, Hope gets JACK-SHIT. Th main girl that he might have really scored well with is gone. He has NOBODY! Maybe I'd be happier if Lightning took him under her training (Cuz' we know she's a pedo for him) but come on! Not even that! He's all like,"Damn, nobodies here for me" and Lightning's all like, "Sucks to be you!" Pats him on the back, maybe says,"See me while the credits role :3" and that's it! Hope gets NOTHING!! What, does SE seem to believe that they're gonna throw out hentai of him regularly!?! NO! It'll take forever! And with our luck, the artists are only gonna depict him in Yaoi instead of SS like FailFags.
This is by the definition an INCOMPLETE ending. No way, they just say, "Hey we're back! Everbody goes on!" BS, that's not what happens when the world wround you was thrown into chaos and nearly dessicated. And if you're going to put emphasis on these 6 great characters, how's about you make it so that not even a SINGLE one gets an ANONYMOUS conclusion (As if everyone didn't get that one already, but Hope got it the worst). I'm not asking for a super happy ending nor a sad one, I'm asking for a proper one that despite all trials and time I put in, makes me feel satisfied at it's grand conclusion, much like FFVII,X, and IV did. Even a more ambiguous ending like VI,VIII, or IX. No, this still passes off as, "Meh, the fans will be happy if everybody sounds and looks happy at the end of the game..."
Fuck you SE, and your crap fanservice. I swear, of all FF games, this is the first that I truly believe deserves a sequel! It would be hot, especially if they take into account all the CONS. You're not being hunted, so now towns like everyone is bitching about. Better progression. Side shit to do in the meantime. Epic story of redemption/journey to reclaim lost life or some shit like that. Switching playable characters. Serah as a party member (She'd be stand-in for Vanille). I'm sure there are some things I'm leaving out, but that was the gist of things...
Our only hope is a secret extended ending or something similar that must be unlocked. Imagine, you must unlock everything, get characters maxed out, defeat every badass monster, complete all new secrets in New Game+ (Which they should add), and get certain items to unlock secret dungeon. Completion of the dungeon results in extended ending. That would make my day.
Lastly, I also believe that, in one hell of an epic twist, they reveal that Hope grows up to be Noctis, setting the stage for Versus. His hair and eyes reversed in color and he changed his name do to past events, believing he'd be stronger as a new person (Ironically mirroring Lightning). That'd be a little more conclusive on Hope's end for me.
Please, I KNOW I'm not the only one pissed. Or the only one craving some SS hentai right about now...
