Lightnings gunblade "real deal"

like most of you fans of the now somewhat legendary weapon of lightning's, you have looked throughout the internet in search or a real working model only to find home made cosplay models. these are cool in their own right and perfect for those that just want to show off their fandum and creativity at cons and such and should be getting high fives all around. but to those select few that try to make a "working" model that they can actually use i have a little tip that i would like to throw out there for you. and before i do id like to say, dont get your hopes up on making it shoot bullets. thats not gonna happen. and to be honest i dont think it would be a good idea.
okay, now for the tip.
the sword that they based lightnings gunblade on is a real sword. but dont get all excited just yet! thats all it is. a sword. just the blade! no gun. okay?!
but if you want to make the gun blad itself, this sword is the almost perfect item to get yourself half way there. the blade is almost identical to the one in lightnings gunblad. almost. so you might need to use a drill to widen the holes closer to the hilt and pollish it but if your determind then itll be worth the effort.
there are many different names for this sword, it even has a set of twins in the form of dual kukri style short swords. and this sword is cheap so dont get your undies in a bunch. you can find it if you look under google images under fantasy dual swords and youll find the single sword in there somewhere. oh...aw hell, just go here. 15 bucks. there ya go. http://budk.com/Swords/Steel-Warrior-Sword thats your best bet. im personally gonna make one myself but be warned!!! do! NOT! take this to a convention! AT ALL!!! you will get kicked out and or arrested. depending on what state your in.
and note that you might need to do a little metal work to shorten the tang on the blade to made it fit what ever mechinized dohicky you have to hook it up to.
im saying all this not because i want there to be alot of sharp weapons out there but because im tired of all the PLASTIC AND FIBERGLASS!!!
i swear anyone that could make a working model of the real thing deserves a metal of honor from the makers at square-enix!! seriously!!! i mean, who made that one buster sword?!? that things on display in japan i think!!

well you get the point.

and if i struck a cord anywhere please tell me politely that i crossed a line.

almost forgot. just to be clear. the blade in the link above is sharp! they dont show for this one but they had a video of its twin dual blade short swords chopping pineapples into little pieces. that and a full milk jug of water. so yes thats a real sword. dont take it lightly! or youll loose a finger! or worse.

for any and all of you that dont believe that this sword is what led to lightnights gunblade. look it up and look at the side. its got a big XIII on it!!! if thats not a sign i dont know what is!!! seriousely i couldnt stop laughing at the irony.

ops....i was wrong. there isnt a big XIII on the side. thats just on the twin kukri dual short swords. oh well. still cool!

i actually asked them to delete it for me and nothing happend. but them someone saide something NICE!!....for once and now i want it to stay up.

for those that didnt even bother to look at the link i posted here is a nice picture i put together of the sword i was talking about compared to that of lightnings gunblade.

if you look at just the blade you can see there are only a couple differences.
like the two holes closer to the handle on lightnings sword have a wide circle added compared to
the other blade. they even both have the red line on the back of the blade.
