I'm pretty sure those classes won't exist once 2.0 comes out, they're scrapping it and going back to the old classes.

At least, I think they are.

Nope, classes evolve. Pugilist will evolve into Monk, etc. Arcanst evolves to Summoner. They're keeping them as is. That's the impression I got.

Then they're basically leaving it as is apart from adding in the Arcanist and possibly more classes, so whatever.

Still gonna be an Arcanist.

It was a great send off. It's nice to see them managing to bring a lot of fans back to the game. It's a shame it's still tab-target based though.

I really want to bother this time around maybe it being on PS3 will mean I will actually be able to play this time though. So that's already more success than I had originally right there.

I kind of wish I'd started playing again after all those attempts to fix it had happened, but I just really didn't want to pay the monthly fee for it. And it didn't run great on my laptop, but since I have a better one now and they're optimizing 2.0 for lower end systems, maybe I'll have more luck this time.

I'm with you, Mike. Arcanist all the way. It will be nice to see the system streamlined and improved and to give it a second chance. They seem to have put a crap load of effort into this, and it isn't hard to see why when you look at the money XI brought them. That said, S-E is very good at making pretty trailers and they have all the room in the world to disappoint. I wish them success, though. They could probably use a win.

I think they've learnt a lot of hard lessons over the past 5 or so years and I hope that 2.0 is the beginning of Square Enix Japan as a whole showing improvements in pipeline and workflow, team communication and quality control.
